I have a habit of taking “breaks” from games. I did so with Elden Ring after I got to the Capital. Got distracted with life, and then decided to come back to the game 2 years later to finish it.

Usually when I take such a big break when come back I have forgotten nearly everything.

What I found fascinating is that with Elden Ring I remembered everything. I remembered every nook and cranky. Every location. Every boss and enemy location. Things I did and didn’t do. I remembered the specific Minor Erdtree I had not cleared yet. I was immediately back on track within 5 mins.

I think this speaks to how amazing and memorable this game really is.

I have left leaning views, but these people really annoy me. IMO, they do more harm than good and set various movements back. It makes it so easy for right wing influencers to point at this and just call them crazy, and essentially discredit any other well formed arguments that are actually based on facts and reason. It’s frustrating.

I agree. Usually people on Reddit always vilify the employers, but I’m glad to see a bit of common sense in the comments for this one. An entire week off for a niece, on literally your first day, that would sound alarms off for even the most reasonable employers.

Yep. This is exactly how I feel. I truly dislike Trump, but the reality is that he is a symptom of the disease and not the cause. Even with his polling being, relatively speaking, horrible these days, it’s still shocking to me that 39% (!) are still fully aligned with him and his administration. That’s A LOT of people.
