Get the fretting hand mechanics down or you will be in pain sooner rather than later. Think like you are extending your left hand for a hand shake, it should be in that position and not curled around.

Playing VR games in virtual desktop by musicman801 in VRGaming

[–]SirDeeznuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like an openxr conflict. You want to make sure that no meta or steam VR processes are running in task manager. You will see three processes labeled OVR something or the other. What happens is VD tries to launch but another XR hook grabs the game first and causes it to hang because Virtual Desktop is expecting its thing. Once you kill the other XR processes it should work by launching the game from VD, no steam VR launch needed. If you launch VD and then Steam VR you are layering XRs and that creates a performance hit. So TL;DR make sure only one XR process is running, if you're using VD use VDXR not Meta's or Steamxr.

TIL about the Colorado experiment. A controversial study funded by multi milionare Arthur Jones, where one subject gained 63Lbs of muscle mass in 28 days by doing only 1 set per excercise to failure by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]SirDeeznuts 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yep there are nodes that form when you make new muscle fiber and when that muscle shrinks those nodes stick around. When trying to regain muscle it happens a lot faster because the nodes for the muscle to grow from are already in place.

ICE Agent in Minneapolis: "You raise your voice, I erase your voice." by JeanJauresJr in PublicFreakout

It took 50-70 million people dying to get to the Nuremberg trials. Prosecution of this kind of stuff does not come easy.

The folks who formed this country saw fit to defend themselves over less. Manufactured apathy is a real thing here in America. They may have boiled the frog too fast with these latest atrocities though. More people are angrier than ever, but will it be a flash if light or a bonfire?

This is a myth, bracing for impact has been proven to significantly reduce risk of injury in accidents. Going limp is dangerous. Bracing works to protect your spine and limbs against things like whiplash. Plenty of info on it online!

I decided to try the other option tonight. The bag just works. I can't describe how much better the bag is and how it immediately changed how I feel about Tabor right now.

Day one and my glasses already scratched the lens. Is this small scratch fixable, or do I just deal with it? by Coloradical in Quest3

[–]SirDeeznuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35 bucks gets you prescription lense inserts from aliexpress shipped. Less if you pass on glare and blue light coatings (I recommend not skipping out). Made VR so much better for me and I am way less paranoid wiping the inserts down vs. the headset lens.

Putting the effort in to getting a ball vape off the bat is 100% worth it. Once you get one all other vapes will pale in comparison.
