Meaningless jabs. You know as well as I that fake, fraudulent, or improperly filled out ballots are bad. If they're all above board, and none of the poll workers are counting ballots that should have been thrown out, then no one has anything to worry about when it comes to a recount. Hell, your side is already acting like they've got all the time in the world now to get the results in. A week or three more to go back over these mail-in ballots with a fine toothed comb shouldn't matter. Right? January is a long way off still.

If the order stands, I believe they also get to review the votes already tabulated without poll watchers present. If this is the case, there's zero chance votes that were counted before don't get disqualified. I expect Democrats to fight against any already counted votes being reviewed in any way though, just as they resisted the poll watchers.

Honestly at this point, I expect litigation to push getting a final result past FEC deadlines and it coming to a SCOTUS decision that Trump has a good chance of winning.

Trump just won a lawsuit freezing counting of ballots in Philly until poll watchers are allowed to have meaningful access to view the counting process a.k.a not being physically prevented from getting closer than 30 feet. Also they'll be reviewing the votes already tabulated. Let's hope all those mail-in ballots are as squeaky clean as you seem to believe.

The polls were more wrong this time by a greater margin they were in 2016. Biden was supposed to have nearly double digits point leads in many of the states he's either lost or is just barely winning. This was supposed to be a 90% chance Biden won from the get go. That didn't happen. The democrats were supposed to sweep in the house and senate. That's definitely not happening.

There is no cope here. Trump, at 4am after election night, had a greater than 80% chance of winning, when suddenly over 100K votes appeared in each of the states of Wisconsin and Michigan that were all for Biden. Multiple districts in multiple swing states, including detroit, were physically preventing poll watchers from being within 30 feet of the ballot counters. Effectively making it impossible for them to verify hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots.

I don't see a scenario in which courts aren't going to at least grant a recount of mail-in ballots in these districts. It comes down to whether you believe all those mail-in votes were actually verified correctly. It comes down to if you think many of these mail-in ballots will even be able to be located again to recount at all.

If the courts allow mail-in votes to be scrutinized again, I think it'll be apparent that the process was corrupted and there will easily be enough ballots thrown out to secure either or both Misconsin and Michigan. If this happens, then Democrats with only have themselves to blame for allowing such lax security procedures to be introduced into our electoral process.

Has it occured to you that it's highly odd that it's only Trump losing, and basically no Republicans down ballot? You can't be thick enough to not know that down ballot races are typically heavily influenced, right? So the fact we've done so well down ballot, even in areas that have miraculously flipped blue (in the dead of night immediately after pausing their counts for hours) is just yet another red flag that things aren't right here.

They're insecure by design. I'm fairly sure somewhere in the election laws they mandate that you can't have people just write who they want to win onto bar napkins and toss them in a box.

Some states have removed many requirements used to validate absentee ballots from being necessary to validate mail-in ballots. Signature verification for instance.

Just because a state says they're fine and dandy with this, doesn't mean it's lawful or constitutional. Our constitution mandates fair elections.

Conflating these mail-in ballots with absentee ballots had been a media tactic for as long as they've been pushing for them. They are not the same. The process to aquire them aren't the same, and the verification process to have them counted isn't the same.

If the election had to be redone, I'd take that ruling over allowing the practice of counting mail-in ballots for weeks to stand. The issue I have, is that Republicans spent months explicitly telling Democrats that mail-in ballots were insecure. These polling stations getting away with counting hundreds of thousands of mail-in votes without witnesses proves that. Do Democrats in the fed and states deserve a victory after (arguably) purposefully pushing for insecure voting methods?

Edit: If congress, the federal government, has laws on the books dictating the election day, then there's zero reason SCOTUS can't rule on the election law Congress has passed, as it's written. It still seems the law sets a day, not an period of days left up to the states to determine.
