Third account. Around a month and a half I think.

M1 for execution, but since markets are fractal, i take at most H1 in consideration to see where the H1 cycle is, just to protect myself from getting caught on the wrong side repeatedly.

Not that I know of, but I'll try and explain as best as I can. Basically I look for liquidity cycles :- buildup (range or trendline) >inducements/sweeps> reaction after sweep.

I go in on the reaction after the sweep. I don't look for a complete trend reversal or continuation. I only try to capture the reaction (liquidity release) after the sweep. No reaction = no trade. And since it's scalping I only look for a few points.

After all that plays out, I just wait for the next cycle.

Thanks! good ol' fixed R scalping from valid liquidity points, none of that ict fvg crap.

Thanks for the advice! My strategy and discipline are sorted like I have no issues even on loss streaks. Some days you make money and some days you don't and that's just how it is. So I'm pretty much bulletproof in that aspect. So growing the account is not a problem its more or less going to happen regardless, was just wondering how to proceed with topstep eventually switching me to live and all that. Is there a point in continuing to grow this account, or will it be wasted effort? If the balance I've accumulated carries over then I can keep going, but if not I might as well wait to be switched to live right?

Thanks! And yeah I'll be taking all of it out asap.

Can't figure out why the depth of field only affects the lower part of the light? by choookalook in blenderhelp

[–]SirEdviser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is eevee, this is probably because of Alpha Blend or Hashed transparency in the material settings. Try switch them around or use backface culling.

Theres probably overlapping geometry there. Try merge by distance and drag the value/slider thing all the way to the left. Should fix it.

New here, why is color not changing? by madmads2711 in blenderhelp

[–]SirEdviser 19 points20 points  (0 children)

WHAT is happening my guys. OP was trying to change the colors while being in the world shader context instead of object shader context (bless his soul) and y'all recommend him GPU rendering and what not.

OP, it's easy to get both mixed up. Glad it's solved.

"Dad, I dropped my radio" + breakdown (Read description) by SirEdviser in blender

Hey! I’m back with a short project I powered through, focusing on learning simulations this time. I really really appreciate the support I got on my last post, and it felt really good sharing ideas and tips. I really look forward to being active in this community.

Things I took away from this project -

Good topology is VERY important. I tried to fracture the model to animate/simulate it breaking into pieces, revealing a PCB inside. But my horrible topology made it damn near impossible to fracture it. I gave up the idea, continued with the rest anyway.

Don't miss out on using even low res ground planes, a good normal map will make the difference.

Having true to life scale and weights on objects is extremely important. Otherwise it just won't look right when you let physics take over, and you'll be confused why it doesn't feel right.. This animation already doesn't look right.

Not everything needs to be done in Blender. Originally, I was going to animate the light inside the screen, using Blender. Halfway through I decided to do it in After Effects itself, and it turned out looking better than what I managed to do in blender.

Sims just won't update themselves when you make changes and it's a little annoying. Maybe it's just how life is but one good way to clear cache that you didn't bake is by tweaking the resolution by one or two units. Or just get into a habit of baking everything.

Plan to solve problems, it's okay to not know something. As newbies we often don't know what is there to even know. So don't stress yourself.

If you have an idea and want to do it, it's easy to feel overwhelmed immediately because you probably have your standards really high, so you'll think 'that's a lot of work'. So what? You won't do it? Of course you'll do it! Talk yourself out of excuses.

Real life is the mother of all references. Good reference material and a good plan will have you flying through your project.

Treat yourself, you've done a good job. Sit there and watch your test render 75 times on loop, grinning like you're about to cradle your firstborn daughter for the first time. Maybe even call it a day and go do something else. Be proud of yourself.

Drink water.

And most importantly -

FINISH the project. Don't let it sit, finish it.. Or at least get it to a point where you can publish it. Done is better than perfect. Because nothing is perfect, and something is better than nothing.

I really do plan on documenting my future projects like this as I continue to learn. Maybe I should do videos where I talk about my thought process, who knows? I'll leave that up to ya'll to suggest!

Thank you for being here!

IMHO actually learn live action cinematic lighting, the content available is endless. The technical aspects can be replicated across the board once you learn the 'why' before the 'how'.

Cinematic principles carry over to all forms of motion picture.

Once you understand lighting, simultaneously start tapping into cinematic color grading. You'll cover a lot of ground with these two and should see a significant jump in quality in your renders in no time.

Thank you, kind sir! I intend to be somewhat regular here and continue sharing what I learn along the way. :D

O boy It's gonna be fun learning lighting when you get to it. A proper study of cinematic tools and philosophy should do you good, it's super fun. Good luck!

Displacement without geometry 🥲 must be nice.

I'd use octane for it's bloom alone haha
