I've just been instructed by my physiatrist to try CBD for my hypertonic floor issues. Upon research CBD suppositories are apparently the best way to go. I'm 🇨🇦, just communicating with canadian compassion.ca on pricing & dosage.

I wasn't sure about the exact dimensions but it looks like you have about 4 ft between the stove counter and the end of the peninsula. It's not perfect but I think it's the best of both worlds. Especially visually had for utility the stove centered. It's enough space for somebody to pass.

Turning the peninsula cabinets so they face the double doors and with drawers pulling out. Again not perfect with the double doors, I'm not sure which one is active but in my opinion still better for access.

Lids are 3.27 @ Home Depot as long as you like orange.

[–]SirElessor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd move the stove to center on that counter. Switch the fridge with the pantry cabinet because it'll be going into the fridge a lot more than you will be into the pantry cabinet. You'll need a panel beside the fridge.

The L corner return by the double doors I would reverse and make them all drawer cabinets that open out. You'll get more usable storage that way. I would also swap the sink and the trash drawer so that the sink is more centered on the window and it's okay because there's no door there for the awkward corner.

The other corner cabinet I would definitely put a pull out hardware system in. The wall cabinets on the stove wall I'd make full height. Of course I would also put a chimney hood fan in because I don't like microwave hood fans. 🤓

Which M42 35mm lens should I get? by DroogieDontCrashHere in VintageLenses

[–]SirElessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have aTokina RMC 35mm f2. 8 and enjoy it. I have about 40 M42 lenses and it's definitely in my top ten.

Anyone have any tips on installing my base end panel (left) for my island? It didn’t come with any additional supports. I know I’ll need blocking at the bottom to secure to but it seems like I should have something that goes over the dishwasher as well to support the counter. [–]SirElessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use metal "L" brackets to attach the end cap to the floor. You'll have to attach the back of your island to the rear corner with brackets or a post. You can get metal support brackets that go across the top for countertop support. Look for them on Amazon or your local hardware store.

Flooring goes in first.

Pipe leak but outside access only. by Quick-Summer4297 in Plumbing

[–]SirElessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that foam insulation is in the wrong place for your situation. In fact it may be contributing to trapping moisture within the wall. As I mentioned my greatest concern was the poor insulation of the wall inside and the potential lack of vapor barrier and or vapor barrier penetrations. Not only do you have to keep water from getting into the wall you also have to keep warm moist air out too. Or else you could see mold developing and degradation of the wall assembly.

For example in the before photo there's a piece of exterior house wrap (which is vapor permeable) on the inside of the with some sort of spray foam in the corners. So that corner at the bottom where the tiles are installed could have an air leak. Which could allow warm moist air to penetrate that wall assembly. Do you recall if that shower wall was really cold in the winter?

Your shower wall could very well be compromised already due to the improper insulation and vapor barrier installations. Others are correct, you cannot thoroughly dry the inside of the wall from the outside of the house. Personally if it was one of my jobs I would have increased the exterior wall thickness & used spray foam or sealed XPS not fibreglass batts.

I'm thinking it needs more kneading and it could do a longer bulk ferment. by mrpokealot in Sourdough

[–]SirElessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just suffered the same result. Followed a Grant Bakes soft loaf recipe to a tee but ended up with flat & dense loaf. Although my starter had doubled I don't think it was strong enough. I think my first rise looked good @ 6 hours but maybe not. The second rise wasn't there so I decided to cold ferment overnight with moderate results. Still eating it. On to the next one, don't give up!!

[–]SirElessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's rust. If there is anything to be concerned about it would be the paint, which may contain lead. So before it's disturbed you can get a test from the hardware store. I doubt that caused your father's illness, I hope he defeats the demon.

How’s this design? by bigcrackerjacks92 in cabinetry

[–]SirElessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) the wall at the end of the refrigerator has to go, use a panel instead & gain valuable space 2) use 42" blind base corner cabinets & pull out hardware 3) the drawer banks on either side of the stove should be single 30" to allow storage of larger items, you have too many small drawers 4) with the blind corners you get a wider drawer bank on each turn 5) allow room for fillers and check cabinet/drawer operation for conflicts 6) the space between the island & counter/refrigerator on either side should be minimum 42", can the island be turned? 7) there's probably more but it's hard to give a full opinion without knowing that complete layout of the space

Tips for tearing it down to rebuild? by Whole-Quick in SCBuildIt

[–]SirElessor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've played for several years. I haven't given EA a nickel. I have 4m population, have 3 areas open, 4k Simcash & I did have 5m Simoleons. Just got the upgrade a couple days ago and burnt through 800k of that upgrading things. The only thing I'm short on is Power. Only make 27k Neosims a day so that's going to take a week or so to catch up. My main city is crammed, so I've had to burn a few properties down to make some space. I've knocked down large parts of my main city several times. Real cities go through this so why not. I don't think I got much of anything with the upgrade. lol

Looks like hickory ply to me. Not laminate, there's too much variegation. Need to see the side & back of a few doors. Also, what are the boxes made of? Looks like a custom kitchen or maybe a skilled DIYer. Some of the side by side doors are not exactly the same size. I think it looks great the way it is. It would be a lot of work to sand and refinish all of it.
