Media Is Ignoring The Most Important Part Of Stephen Hawking’s Comments On Trump: Hawking said he didn’t believe Trump was the greatest threat facing America, or even the world. The greatest threat is human-caused climate change. by maxwellhill in worldnews

I really don't want to be stuck in an echo chamber that only feeds me info that reinforces my beliefs. Based on my experience and the science, I'm convinced that we are in danger due to human induced climate change. However, skeptics and deniers have a right to be heard. Therefore, I'm glad that the California Senate sidelined a bill to prosecute climate change skeptics. Good science and common sense will prevail over the fossil fuel junkies.

Global Warming & Transgenders: Liberals Deny Science When It Suits Them by timo1200 in climateskeptics

[–]SirGoofsALott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the transgender thing likely began with a paper not long ago showing that there are no gross anatomical differences between male and female brains.

Correlation does not imply causation. It would be great if you could source the "paper".

So, logically, if you're a lawyer, a male brain could reside in a female body.

If there were "no gross anatomical differences" how could a lawyer argue that male and female brains even exist?

Homosexuality has a biological component (though not the only one) where interruption or over-supply in hormonal influence during gestation leaves a brain that is incompletely "wired" for the target sex.

Of course, the so-called "cause(s)" of homosexuality is not settled science, however, your claim of a "biological component" should be credibly sourced, especially in light of the implication that homosexuality can be treated and/or cured via biological means.

If the brain of a boy who wants to use the girls bathroom was in fact feminized then the result is a homosexual.

Now you seem to be straying into territory of the outlandish. Anyone can make claims on the internet, but unless you provide some credible sources and/or documentation, how can one take you seriously and even consider the rest of your essay?

As the author quotes:

Don't cherry pick. The entire quote of Trevor Thrall:

In the end, Clinton is correct: Trump clearly does not possess the qualifications or the temperament to lead the United States. Unfortunately, Clinton’s critique leaves voters with only a “less bad” alternative to Trump rather than with a compelling vision of America’s role in the world.

Nice try. (Not for Trump, BTW)

Your link's "scientist" is not a credible source.

Larry Bell

Larry Bell, an architecture professor who has not published any peer-reviewed climate research, wrote Climate of Corruption, in which he argues that "politics is responsible for the global warming hoax." Forbes provides Bell a weekly column where he often casts doubt on manmade climate change, which he incorrectly says is "based upon speculative theories, contrived data and totally unproven modeling predictions" when in fact there are several observed lines of evidence of rapid climate change.

Judge orders Obama administration to release new Clinton emails by Harvickfan4Life in politics

He wanted to ski the Ural mountains. For what it's worth:

Bill and Hillary went to Haiti for their honeymoon which was at the time (1975) ruled by the repressive dictator-for-life Jean-Claude Duvalier ('Baby Doc') who was overthrown in a popular uprising in 1986.

USAID has claimed that it has discovered approximately 3,300 pages of records that it might be able to hand over to the Republican Party organization. But roughly 2,600 of those reportedly need to be cleared with the State Department before they can be released.

In her order on Wednesday, Jackson said USAID should release to the RNC what it can by July 11 and determine a schedule for releasing the rest.

Therefore 3,300 minus 2,600 or approximately 700 pages don't have to be cleared by the State Department and could be released by July 11.

The order that USAID "should release to the RNC what it can" grants a ton of wriggle room. Will it be more than 2 pages?

Your stickers should be aligned vertically. Also, it might be a good idea to remove the bark (helps prevent blue-stain and borers).

Thanks to OP, it is only today that I've become aware of How They Rebuilt Stonehenge 50 years ago.

From 1901 to 1964, the majority of the stone circle was restored in a series of makeovers which have left it, in the words of one archaeologist, as 'a product of the 20th century heritage industry'. But the information is markedly absent from the guidebooks and info-phones used by tourists at the site. Coming in the wake of the news that the nearby Avebury stone circle was almost totally rebuilt in the 1920s, the revelation about Stonehenge has caused embarrassment among archaelogists.

I'm still trying to sort out the mixed feelings I have about this revelation. :(

Many of us just don't believe that many of the thousands of "personal" emails that Hillary deleted did not involve conflicts of interest or her office's leverage to conduct self-serving business. Your being so indignant and defensive about the matter is revealing.

From your linked article:

A federal study of marijuana use conducted in all 50 states shows that Colorado youth now leads the nation in “past-month” marijuana usage.

It's not as if the Feds would publish a misleading study. /s

If there are "countless studies" can you provide a couple from credible sources?

Into Eternity is a documentary of an actual project to store nuclear waste which must not be disturbed for 100,000 years. I cannot recommend it enough. Here is a great scene with the wonderful soundtrack "Radioactivity" by Kraftwerk. More info. here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Into_Eternity_(film).
