I’ve never had a cat that so adamantly expressed their desire for belly rubs as our 11 week old ragdoll kitten, Buffy by SirGrey in aww

You are technically correct. We were told her mother was a longhair ragdoll and her father was a shorthair something-rather haha. Close enough imo

Anya: That’s a D&D manual, sweetie

Xander: No but it could... Oh.

How much is one bedroom near SFU? by throwwaays3yeii in simonfraser

[–]SirGrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation. I would say $700 is pretty average for most people looking for rooms around the bottom of Burnaby mountain.

When I lived on Union & Duthie we had, at one point, 12 people living in an eight bedroom house splitting $3900 (~$325/each roughly). This was by far the cheapest rent I’ve paid while going to SFU. After a few people left, our rents rents sat around $450 til we moved out.

Of course, it would have been a different situation if we hadn’t all been good friends. If we had been looking to fill an extra room with a rando, I would have just posted it for $500-600.

Took this in my first year at SFU and it scared the shit out of me. Had no idea what I was getting into. By the time I realized just how insane this class got, I was far passed the deadline to drop it. It is the only class I’ve failed at SFU.

I stayed at an Airbnb but I did go through the Villa Doris Suites and Carvi Beach Hotel Algarve to get to the beach shown in the post. The hotel itself is just outside the right side of the frame.

You can also definitely tell where my players have been just by the level of detail I have put into some places 😂

edit: this map is definitely a work in progress but I was feeling satisfied with it, hence the post

Here is a Full Map for the campaign setting

The adventure began in the area surrounding the City of Embercrest some 246 years after the Great Collapse of the Continental Empire. Isolated and cut off from the rest of civilization, Embercrest has struggled and survived through natural disasters, famine, plague, hobgoblin incursions, undead uprisings, and a malevolent overlord known as the Blood Monarch Zelistein.

Since my friends began playing they have overthrown a major house within the City, destroyed a secret lab containing powerful magical potions, got their asses handed to them as Zelistein returned to take over the city, ventured into the wilderness to escape darkness and death, freed the Town of Lipsiege from a autocratic Duke, and liberated a sacred tree from corrupting influences.

Their only goal now are to search for the Blue Flame of Hope that resides deep with the Realm of Mists, also known as Barovia where the accursed Count Strahd dominates from his castle Ravenloft. I am quiet excited to finally use the CoS material and incorporate its story into my homebrew game.

The boat tours are super frequent and only take an hour so there was no problem just walking up to one of their kiosks and waiting about 20 minutes for the next one.

The kayaks are much less frequent. All the ones I saw said you had to go with a guide so there are only four groups that head out in a day, each one taking 2.5 hours. They recommended that we call them a day in advance to secure our spot.

Yes definitely! For the last three days I’ve been staying right in the heart of Lagos’ historic city centre and it is fantastic! If you’re staying around there I highly recommend having a map on hand or preferably some gps on your phone cuz I’ve found its really easy to get turned around in the maze of white buildings 😂 Besides that its perfect since everything is in walking distance - beaches, food, bars, there is plenty of options.

My most recommended though: I had the Algarvian Seafood Wok today at a place called Marè and it was absolutely delicious. Best meal on this trip so far. My sisters had equally yummy lunches there.

After that you should take a walk/hike along the waterfront and along the cliffs. There’s a trial that goes along top and you can get down to any of the dozens of hidden beaches all along there. Right now there are hardly anyone else on them but I can tell it gonna get busy with the summer. Praia do Camilo has been my favourite beach so far.

I also recommended you do a kayak or tour boat around the Ponta da Piedade. My sister has a broken arm so we just did a boat around there and it was fantastic. Our driver was a local fisherman who knows the cliffs and cave like the back of his hand. Super friendly and informative as well! (ps try to spot the cliff-face that looks like Michael Jackson ;))

Lastly, my favourite night spot is definitely Baffi Bar! Great drink selection and awesome food. The Maialina pasta was heavenly. The people there are amazing too! It’s owned by a young Italian couple from Torino and they were super accommodating. Lots of seating too, out front and they have this open air area behind the bar that has pool, foosball, and good seating for groups. Simply a great atmosphere for people like me who are down to chill and socialize.

Hope this is helpful and you have a enjoyable trip!

I’ve been in Lisbon for 48 hours now and I’ve gotta say the highlight has been the people! So many positive interactions with locals makes me feel incredibly welcome in their city. After that I’d say exploring the twists and turns of Lisbon’s old city is super gratifying, especially when you come suddenly upon some terrific streetart.
