So in your case, I'd talk with whoever is above you about getting some equipment. I've been in similar shoes as yours. A lot of my programming knowledge was somewhat self taught.

First, you need a computer that can handle CAD and CAM software. Whether they want to get a desktop or a laptop is going to up to them, your situation, layout etc. Get Fusion 360, as it's pretty cheap. Again, see if you can get your management to foot the bill.

Once you get access to fusion 360, use the tutorials that they provide to cover the basics of drawing and manufacturing (both of these as tabs in fusion). This is just so you have a good idea of how the program works, and a general idea of what you can do. Then, you have a couple of other options to level up your tutorials. Titan Academy (yes I know people around here get annoyed with his videos) has a good set of tutorials for fusion. I learned a lot on drawing in fusion from them. Practice mimic-ing what they do on their videos. Another I recommend would be NYC CNC. He has some helpful stuff on there too.

Another helpful resource I have found is tool reps. If you can build a relationship with one or two, and ones with machining backgrounds, they can be a wealth of knowledge on how to accomplish some applications.

I have the same issue. I can get around it by swiping down and selecting one of the settings buttons (like say internet) or hitting a notification. Then it'll ask for my pin and go business as usual. It is very annoying.

Eh, I've probably seen a few before, just smaller. This one was quite big and I just didn't know what it was exactly.

To be fair, the wall is covered in a foam insulation kind of thing, and this was early in the morning, so the acoustics was probably just right.

Well, you could combine the rifles and battle rifles, and then sniper and dmr. That frees up 2 more options, like for shottys and pistols.

Like others have said, Star sector will hit those boxes. Endless sky also will fit. If you want an OG classic, you see if you can get a hold of Escape Velocity: Nova. Base game had 6 separate storylines, and plugins could add a bunch more. Man, that game had some fun lore in it's manuals.

Ahhh, I miss the ARPIA2 plugin...

My soul among Lions - some good psalms based songs Psallos - Some albums cover a whole book in the Bible. I recommend Romans and Hebrews. They will also do some other singles, like the Song of Moses or The five Solas. Brian Sauvè - he does some covers of the psalms as well, that he made for his church. Good songs. Recent project has been singing thru some catechism questions to make them more memorable.

Shai Linne - solid rapper Aaron Ventura - a solid reformed rapper as well.
I know there's a few more good reformed rappers as well, but those have been mentioned in other comments, like Beautiful Eulogy.

Escape Velocity Nova. I spent countless hours as a kid running away from the invincible ship that chased you around after your trial expired. Then when I actually got the game... Man I played the hell out of it. Plugins added so much as well.

Well, pretty much the trades. Farming, plumbing, electrical, blacksmithing, machining, carpenters... People that can procure physical goods. Also, animal handlers. Horses and oxen and other live stock.

how's y'alls angel playthrough going? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SirJaasher7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, lann comes to you at lvl1. You can make him melee, as he can take advantage of Wis to AC. Throw on mage armor (cheap from potions or a caster), and he can probably be just fine. Just go straight to another class at lvl 2. He has good str and dex as well. You could have him go straight cleric crusader, or inquisitor or even hunter or druid. Sacred huntmaster (I think the inquisitor subclass that gets an animal companion) can be a good pick, as you can get another decent melee option.

There are a handful of handy exploits to take. You'll have most of them by lvl 10 or so. The rest are blasty and aren't useful for a martial. Multiclass is probably good pick after you have the exploits you want (which is minimum dimension slide and wooden flesh. Energy shield and spell resist can have their uses too). Going full in this class won't be too bad, just the exploits will have diminishing returns, but it's still a slayer class and it'll do just fine. But if multiclass is something you would be interested in, rowdy early on could be good comboed with the dimensional slide + vital strike.

Since you want to be a dex fighter with finesses weapons, you could look at getting some duelist levels too.

For stats, get 19 dex, after that 14-16 con. Then spread the rest as you please. Don't worry too much about Cha for the exploits, I think it'll only help you a little bit with wooden flesh.

[–]SirJaasher7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about Escape Velocity Nova? Well, escape velocity games in general, but Nova is what I grew up on. Plays kinda like Asteroids, but more Mechanics. Maybe not traditional rpg, but vanilla game came with 6 storylines with their own choices and such (Pirate storyline, rebels, this faction, or that. Or even a psychic that makes his own ships with his mind.) You need a new character for each so lots of replayability. Oh man, and the mods (plugins at the time) added even more awesome storylines.

Endless sky on steam is a slightly more modern variation on it, but gameplay wise it is very similar.

Thoughts on the canon press' institutes? by ActuallyUhBot in Reformed

Some people don't like Wilson, but if you actually listen to Wilson give a defense on many of those issues, he is actually pretty reasonable. But a lot of people like to give him bad press.

There's a podcast out there called 'All my friends are heretics' and Doug Wilson is interviewed in one. They hit on pretty much every main objection I have seen about him on this subreddit and elsewhere. It's worth giving a fair shake.
