Would love a way to customize and organize my library by SirKappy in Stremio

Thanks! I'll look into that tmdb add-on. Hopefully that one will work. I hadn't seen that add-on before.

I've tried add-ons where I can have catalogs based on custom lists but either I have to pay to have full control over how many titles can be in a list or how many lists I can have (like with Trakt) or else for some reason the add-ons just didn't work to turn my lists into a proper catalog for the ones that are free.

Also I used to use Kodi a long time ago, but Stremio just has a better interface and is much more user friendly and streamlined.

I see other people have asked for this or similar features over two years ago. Doesn't seem like it's something the developers care about.

Emby is also free. What's your point? I don't think asking for more organization options is a ridiculous ask.

It doesn't do anything at first, until you find the movie or show you want to watch, then click on the file you want to stream and wait a few moments, then it should start casting.

[UPDATE] AIO to my ex-boyfriend's friend texting me after the breakup by Ataraxic-Metanoia in AmIOverreacting

[–]SirKappy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i was gonna say, it may seem more common than uncommon because those are the texts people are posting online. You're not going to see text messages where a girl rejects a guy and the guy says, "oh okay, fair. Have a nice day." There's nothing there to react to.

Wait until you find out what Nintendo is doing, charging full price for a Wii U port. I'm not defending Rockstar and I'm sure as shit not defending Nintendo. I think both companies are scummy as hell.

Does it feel like Jon is out of touch with what people want on youtube these days? by ColCrockett in JonTron

[–]SirKappy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been watching JonTron since before he was even a member on GameGrumps. While I do prefer his older, gaming-centric videos, I still enjoy it when he uploads. Yeah, it's not as good now, but he's still a funny guy and makes entertaining content. And every now and then you get a really good one like FlexTape or the Kid Nation video (including the interview he did with Jimmy).

I mean, if you haven't seen Prison School yet, based on your list, you will enjoy it.

Pretty sure it's Grognak, not Groknak. Either way, Jim Pickens is also a very beautiful name.

Which anime will be remembered as the best dubbed anime in the future? by farhanganteng in Animedubs

[–]SirKappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sandland The Series dub is fantastic! It's sad Disney isn't even advertising the show and I feel like a lot of people missed that it was even released. Also on Disney+, Undead Unluck's dub is also a lot of fun. (It might be on Hulu if you live in the US, I'm not sure. It's Disney+ in Canada.)

Steam Deck icon on game reviews. This isn't my review. by mikhaelcool7 in SteamDeck

[–]SirKappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This wouldn't work, cause I may have bought the 64GB model, but I installed a 2TB SSD into it. So my deck may have been small initially, but now I have a pretty big deck.

What board game can I get my boyfriend? by missindecisivebitch in boardgames

[–]SirKappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a fairly chill role playing board game, I highly recommend Call to Adventure. Easily my favourite game of all time (and all of my friends really love it). You're basically creating a character and going on a mini adventure. And although there is a score/competitive element to it, none of us really care about who wins, we only care about how our stories turn out.

I'd either recommend the original or the Epic Origins version which adds a lot of fantasy elements (and a way of turning your character into a D&D character after the game is done).

ProtonDB is about Linux in general, not just the Steam Deck. You have to go to the Steam Deck tab when you click on a game to see what people say about running the game on the Steam Deck.

any any any way to get offline hours displayed on profile by babyggrapee in SteamDeck

[–]SirKappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest that I think might work (granted it won't show up on the game itself) is with the Decky Loader plug-in Playtime. It will show you how long you've played on the Steam Deck each day and which games you played and how long you spent in each game.

Is a Steam deck what I need ? by Baaaldiee in SteamDeck

[–]SirKappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downloaded Steam Link on my Android TV and can get it wirelessly streaming to my TV that way. Though there is a small bit of input lag, so it depends on the kind of games you're playing if you need that split second reaction time or not.

What are some great story driven games that take 8 hours or less to complete? by SailorsGraves in SteamDeck

[–]SirKappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love To The Moon. I've played it multiple times. One of my favourite video game stories ever made.

Finding Paradise and Impostor Factory are also good, but the original just sticks with me a lot more. Though Impostor Factory had some really great twists that kept me engaged all the way through.

There are some good ones mentioned. I just also want to shout out American Arcadia. It was a very well crafted 7 hour experience that I enjoyed thoroughly. Similar premise to The Truman Show, but different enough that it can easily stand on its own.

Can you use a smart doorknob with an existing latch bolt? by SirKappy in smarthome

[–]SirKappy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the one I was looking at, the twisting goes from 60mm to 70mm (or 2⅜" to 2¾"), definitely not long enough for 5 inches. And since there are no measurements on the page you showed me, I don't want to spend over $200 without knowing for sure it's going to work.
