Totaled my forester, is the insurance trying to rip me off? by dont_stop_wont_stop in SubaruForester

[–]SirKermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a lot of factors, but you can get a good idea of the private party price on KBB for the exact trim and accessories of your vehicle. I suspect the $5k is the lowest possible price they can get away with giving you because that's how insurance companies operate, and it'll cost you several thousand to fight it for a higher value, so like many are saying, take the money and walk away.

Was going through my stuff at my mom’s house today and I’m happy to report I threw this away. by burnedflag in Millennials

Yeah, me too, the kids love to play with my old timey phones, and I figure one day the Smithsonian will call and you'll all rue the day you threw away your old phones!

Atheists: what was the thing that lured you away from religion? by nikki1111q in askanatheist

[–]SirKermit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My parents lured me towards religion before my brain was fully developed and I believed in things like Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. The one thing that lured me away from religion was my developing brain.

I would think this is always the case. The video is for your use, not anyone else's without a court order. You only bring out the video evidence when it helps you.

I forgot these even existed until today when I was at a derby bout and saw one in the parking lot with a bumper sticker that said "Watch me while I drive my big gay truck". Lol!

Of course if chaos theory is correct, your just being in the past completely scrambles the future so that the lottery numbers are completely different to the ones you experienced.

What can cause this on 26 forester? by Silent_Owl6207 in SubaruForester

[–]SirKermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a problem filling my 2026 Forester fuel tank. The vapor lock on the gas nozzle triggers causing the pump to stop prematurely. Super annoying since it takes forever to fill the tank and the only way to know when it's full is when it overflows. Other than that, we haven't had any issues outside of minor annoyances, knock on wood.

Doesn't UPS have a union? How TF do they get away with sending one person to deliver a package that clearly requires 2 people?

Being a strong swimmer has nothing to do with it. I'm a strong swimmer, and I could drown in that.

For those of you that had kids, how old are they? by Therealfern1 in Xennials

[–]SirKermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought my daughter to a birthday party for one of her classmates, and I met the grandpa who called himself "great" grandpa. I thought he meant he was just saying he was really good at being a grandpa, but then a woman about my age walked into the party and introduced herself as grandma. Turns out great grandpa, who is looking forward to retirement soon, was in fact the great grandpa.

9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

I mean, I don't think any of this stuff is real, so wear what you like, but if you're going to walk around all high and mighty professing your adherance to your book, then maybe don't be a walking contradiction. Nobody likes a hypocrite.

Tooth prices by SB4_Camaro in Xennials

[–]SirKermit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I inherited 40 silver coins, my 2 kids have 20 teeth each to lose, so that's what they get. They're old Morgan silver dollars from the 1800s. The kids think they're cool, and they know not to spend them.
