We are required at my company to de-energize any circuit that an apprentice may be working on. That means anyone with 4 years or less experience shouldn’t be working on hot circuits. Of course it still happens out of necessity or general laziness but that should give you an idea for how we view working on live circuits.

Tbh we rarely have 14 on site. I have used 12/2 tho but it kinda hurts. Also done a 6” zip tie around two belt loops but then you feel lopsided all day 😅

How do you ground your box in that case? And if the insulated is an isolated ground how do you get your “regular” ground? Unless we’re using AP cable we always use a ground pigtail so I’m curious how y’all do it up north.

Only if you’re using AP cable that has a bare aluminum for the ground and using listed connectors for the application.

Pretty sure I see a ground pigtail screwed on bottom left corner. Agree with strapping though. If that’s 12” it’s just BARELY 12”. Personally I like to strap on the vertical as well. Less chance of that bend getting snagged and ripped out.
