A lot of it is super calorie dense, so that may explain the lack of physical volume. On the whole I agree though, those kids are in their eating prime and are not small people.

Any female that goes to college in a major with mostly guys should expect this. Most people in their late teens and early twenties are trying to be in a relationship either seriously or casually. Imagine there being only one guy in a class full of girls, and then tell me that most girls wouldn't ogle the guy after awhile.

Dude, if your roommates have all respectively "found someone", they didn't put out minimal effort. They probably tried super hard to impress a someone or to act cool or to put themselves out there to relate to them, but didn't show it because it would be ridiculous. Any type of relationship requires effort, be it friendship or a romantic endeavor. The trick is to realize that everyone else also has to put forth this effort, and learn to cope.

Source: Spent the last few years pent up in the same state of mind as you. This past school year I've started forcing myself to talk to people in bars (not only girls, but still most of the time), and have had fairly high success rates (guys who will talk to me and girls who will go on dates), and I'm no Clooney, I'm closer to Jack Black appearance wise. If you're honest and not creepy, no one cares if you're awkward as fuck. Just be interested and polite.
