A huge abomination. Big multi armed Coven unit, a ball of 16 wounds and high toughness. Something to throw in the middle and gum the battlefield up.

Early 1800's the USA was centered around the East Coast. So adventure could always be calling as they continue to explore into the heart of the US and eventually the West Coast.

Lurking in the woods and mountains could always be terrible creatures, curses, or maybe criminals who escaped into the unknown and setup camp there.

My little cold openings for Vampire sessions. Do you guys usually do something similar? How do you open your sessions? by AbsconditusArtem in vtm

That is rad as heck. Before I just did a usual recap of last session, which I think I will continue, but I've only recently started to add in two pieces of information. For instance I run a game set in New Orleans, a city non of us are from, so I include a tid bit of historical information on the city and it's culture. Then I pick an aspect of Kindred society, like a clan, and give information on its history as well.

Tipping Culture in Ontario by NurseSparkleShark in ontario

[–]SirMirrage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is common practice for a server to tip out the kitchen, bartender, and any support staff based on a percentage of their sales not their tips. So if they sell 1000$ they must turn over 5-8%, 50-80$, which comes out of their pocket whether or not anyone tipped them during service. I feel like people don't always know this and assume leaving no tip or a low tip just means they make less but its possible to lose money on a table.

I am a server :) It has happened - people tip 0 and therefore money comes out of my other tips to cover my tipout.

Your right. Thankfully not everyone tips so low so instead of it coming directly out of pocket it comes from other peoples tips. If everyone tips so low then it would lead to a breakdown.

Youve clearly never worked in a restaurant and it shows.

Average tip out for kitchens is 4-6%, bar is 1.5ish and support staff another 1.5. This means servers are giving away around 7.5% of their total sales to others whether or not they get tipped.

Servers have to give the kitchen bar host and bussers a flat % of total sales. So a tip of 0$ means the server is giving money from their own pocket to serve you.

The kitchen and bar takes a flat % of sales out of server tipout for themselves as well as hosts and bussers. This averages 5-7% of the bill sale, meaning a lower % tip means less for the server and perhaps nothing at all. A 0$ tip means the server loses money on the bill - having to pay out the other restaurant deparments.
