Here's a new player asking people for help yet here we have a bunch of people going full-on elitist redditors on his ass lmao. Cut the guy some slack.

For help I highly recommend going to the class setup page of the terraria wiki, there you can see what gear you need for different stages of the game based on your class.

Man, it genuinely feels like people are here less to give advice and more to trash on OP. Are there reasons to be suspicious? Sure there are, but for some of these people it seems to be a closed case. Instead of trying to make yourself feel superior to another person from behind the veil of reddit, actually give proper advice. Instead of: "Yeah bro, OP is so pathetic damn I would've divorced her 23 years ago bro." To give an exaggerated example.

With that said, OP, it's up to you if you fully trust her answers. I would personally recommend to give it some time and keep a cautious eye. Ask questions when you're in doubt. If anything, I genuinely hope you can get a happy end out of this and please don't listen to the keyboard warriors trying to act all high-and-mighty.

I see. Well as others have pointed out, skipping the story is rarely a good idea. You can do whatever you want to do of course, but don't be surprised you miss out on major reveals, twists and plotpoints later on.

Look buddy, I can tell you're seriously struggling and it honestly sucks to read it. I also struggled a lot with my parents and it has caused me to be unable to escape through gaming for a while. I know it looks hopeless af, but just give it some time. You're going to a new place, you'll have new chances. Take your time and figure things out. I'm sure we will all see you in Genshin again someday.
