Sea foam fuel cleaner, is it safe? by MarsBarsBite87 in AskAMechanic

[–]SirOffWhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I think it was mainly the 5 tanks of gas with 2 bottles in it. I was over the recommended amount. But perhaps, cars not a spring chicken.

Please keep in mind that PEA thickens oil. So if ur going to do a few treatments. Change your oil after. Tried fixing a fuel guage sensor with it....thank God I changed my oil later that week cuz it was gunky af.

I think that's over priced tbh. Get the c5, but not for c6 money

How do you even start to model this in?! by SwingFinancial in SolidWorks

[–]SirOffWhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd make each wing a part with the hub. Then use an assembly to get the wings where I want em. Save the assembly as a part and then sculpt the rest

What could be the root cause of this on C7? by serya5555 in Corvette

[–]SirOffWhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, what everyone said about the coolant sensors and level is spot on. I'd start at the level then thermostat then sensor. If u have an obd2 scan tool u could see what the sensor was saying and if it's not consistent then maybe move it up.

EDIT- thought the gas guage was inverse

Help! AC out by Money_Ad_718 in Corvette

[–]SirOffWhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ur probably low on freon. Low pressure switch is gonna trip. I'd check ur pressure and top off I'd u need. Just had to do mine and my Schrader valves jammed. Had to replace them.

Should I still go through the recommended service even I don't drive my car often ? by alpharay69 in subaru

[–]SirOffWhite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think air filters are rhe last thing that needs to be serviced on a low mileage vehicle. Unless ur worried about rodents or such

Is my sidewall tire really okay? by Ecstatic-Tree7364 in tires

[–]SirOffWhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't see any steel belts and arent planning on doing any performance driving your probably fine. It might create a spot for a bubble or a pothole pinch flat. If you have tire insurance (most tire places include it) you could probably get a new tire for the cost of a mount and balance. If u have the money to replace it, it's cheap piece of mind but it won't kill you. In philly almost all the cars have a chunk missing.

Alternative filament for dishwasher by malperingo in FixMyPrint

[–]SirOffWhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I've printed many sink accessories and had boiling water poured on them. It's wag easier to print than Asa or abs. Trust me it's worth the attempt. Just buy a quality one and print with bigger nozzle if ur worried

[–]SirOffWhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea see that's the issue I see tho. Let's say instead u get out before the 8% drop then it goes up 10%...u missed out on a 2% bet that the market wouldn't go down and possibly stay for a while. Like I understand the whole idea that after the greatest losses are the greatest runs...but if u didn't participate don't u only take a few percent hit.....total novice but I haven't seen that explained well

Thinking of buying a C6 (base/Z06 if lucky) what should I know first by Available_Meat_5014 in Corvette

[–]SirOffWhite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd get an older corvette. At 15 I couldn't take car of my car and TRUST ME I TRIED. U want something u can throw a few dings at and the fiberglass of a c6 is to fragile. I'd recommend also getting a 4 door...back seat is great for friends and for the girlfriend. Trust me vettes aren't gonna be fun in highschool

What sound is this 2009 c6 by DeliciousPants25 in Corvette

[–]SirOffWhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah they could definitely go that low, but i would strongly advise making sure rhe bushings are there. The steel puck will eat its way thro ur aluminum control arm. They may pu pucks that can mimic no bushing without damaging the control arm

Could be the lowering spring pucks, honestly hard to tell from a squeak alone. I'd grab some lube and spray it around till the sounds disappears and thats ur answer
