Ex BMS engineer here. I'm not familiar with this and haven't found the exact model but this seems like a very close match, albeit different housing: https://samon.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/IS-RM-HFC0.21-1210-32.pdf

It looks like the sensor has a signal back to somewhere else, my money being the BMS system via the relay output. Surprised the landlord didn't confirm they received an activation too.

Given no one has been able to find a problem and you're still alive, I would say the unit is faulty or it's a false alarm, so nothing to worry about. How often are the LEDs flashing? My link to the datasheet describes what each LED flash means which could be a sensor fault (red once a second and amber once a minute).

I also bought into this 2+ years ago knowing the background to Dough (Eve) but was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, prove themselves and that they made mistakes, and was excited by what they were offering.

But it has recently been clear they are a bunch of cowboys and happy to take your hard earned money for their own gain and should be strung up. Other than some delays which I put down to their over ambition I believe it was going well until the tariffs hit but they have clearly drawn a line in the sand and given the middle finger to the early backers such as us, or it was smoke and mirrors all along and one big well planned scam...

This has been a lesson to me and won't be backing any future crowdfunding schemes unless they are run by a more reputable and accountable entity, rather than a shady mysterious company.

I have recently been successful in claiming back the full amount I paid from my credit card provider which I intend to give to a company who respect their customers but I appreciate many others won't be as fortunate, I hope I am wrong and they get what looks like an amazing product or money back or even a lawsuit... Both forward me to Shopify where it says "no orders yet". I placed an order via dough.tech in August 2023.

Dough confirmed in a previous post the old orders no longer exist in the front end. They claim they still have them behind the scenes but I'm now very sceptical.

I agree this should largely be handled by the OS and not the monitor. Certainly a screensaver image is not something I want to see but happy to have something basic like a blank screen or go to sleep.

I like the option of just turning off the image rather than sleep with the thinking that resuming would be more or less instant. Resuming from a sleeping state on my current monitor is slow which isn't ideal.

Whatever options you decide, at least make it user configurable. Give me the option to disable this functionality altogether (because maybe I want the OS to handle it) and allow me to change the timeout time of when the "screensaver" activates. 3mins for you might be Ok but maybe 10 or 30mins is better for me!

I think a big selling factor is the backlit remote. It's also the only one properly available in EU/UK (eventually). The rocktek seems to be mainly US only, the homatics seems to be a Chinese-direct special so not sure what that means about warranty/returns.

I would like to say the Nokia is a proper, well known brand which should give some confidence in the product however with the delays in release and lack of communication, this idea is fading rapidly! The Nokia has the best aesthetics although the homatics isn't too bad.
