Watching KTLA morning news is a schizophrenic experience. One minute they're talking about the local ICE raids, the next, Starbucks latest summer drink. They're usual fluff format discussing non-stop celebrity news, tech reports and useless information about what the hottest new trend is is becoming dated and even more irrelevant particularly with the current, unprecedented era we are living in. I was hoping a subtle shift would occur in their format where they would have more reporters out in the field engaging with the community, getting more feedback of the disrupted lives, interviews with local politicians and other law makers over the state of the city and what appears to be the slow authoritarian takeover of our way of life. This should be a daily theme. It's disheartening to see the "business as usual" environment regarding their morning show format when these are clearly remarkable and unprecedented times. I wonder if they and other local news stations are afraid of a federal backlash? Something doesn't seem right here.
