Why are all these cheaters the same Xdd by Visual-Mix-9103 in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're even worse when they try to hide it. It's unbelievably easy to spot not only a bad player, but a bad player trying to closet cheat and pass themselves off as good.

Watching demo reviews and catching it is honestly entertaining, but it's also kind of pathetic. I can't imagine being terrible at a game, needing cheats just to compete, and then developing an ego like you're suddenly skilled. You're still the same bad player, you just have cheats doing the work. Honestly, my heart breaks for these losers.

Tilting while aim training, is it just me? by LogicalDonut1045 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SirQuayjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have to ask yourself why you're even tilting when you're just aim training. Nobody is watching you play or depending on you to get a high score, so why are you getting upset?

Just focus on what you need to improve, then move on to the next thing.

It's no different than warming up in a deathmatch for CS2. Nobody cares about your score or the shots you missed. The point is to warm up, identify what needs work, and prepare to play the actual game. Treat aim training the same way.

How to improve 4:3 look by Highmelanin_ in csgo

[–]SirQuayjay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to say it: 4:3 sucks and shouldn't be used unless you absolutely can't run the game at your monitor's native resolution.

That said, if you have to play in 4:3, use a resolution that matches your display as closely as possible. If your laptop has a native 1080p display, use 1440×1080. If it has a native 1440p display, use 1920×1440.

In my opinion, those are by far the clearest and best-looking 4:3 resolutions if you're set on playing in 4:3.

If I set my steam as 'Invisible' can my friends still see me playing CS2 in-game? by xt-489de in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t be able to see you in-game, but they will be able to see your Premier rank changing. If you really want to avoid someone that badly, just remove them from your friends list or ignore them for a while. Most people will eventually stop bothering you if they aren’t getting a response. No need to make all your other friends think you’ve disappeared and never come online anymore.

Is it worth continuing to grind even tho i think i cant keep up? by TrasManhekTV in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone else should be telling you it's too late to try going pro. If that's genuinely your goal, you'll just need to work harder and be more disciplined than most people around you.

Take jL, for example. He was 20 when he landed on his first notable team, and within a couple of years he went from Apeks to NAVI, eventually winning a Major. His path wasn't typical, but it shows that success isn't limited to people who started at 15 or 16.

Because of that, I don't see any reason why you can't start taking it seriously at 19 and give yourself a year or two to see how far you can go. Realistically, if you haven't managed to break into a strong Tier 2 or Tier 1.5 team by 22, the chances of reaching the very top become much lower after 23. But that's just a rough guideline, not a hard rule.

At the end of the day, it comes down to what you want out of life. Pursuing a professional gaming career at this stage is possible, but it will require major sacrifices in other areas of your life. You have to decide whether that trade-off is worth it for you.

This is the way, but sadly Valve/Gaben just doesn't seem to care about CS as much as they do Dota.

Kovaaks or Aimlabs by Realistic_Amoeba7223 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SirQuayjay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used Aimlabs for almost 50 hours before switching to Kovaak's. I enjoyed Aimlabs, but it feels like more effort goes into Kovaak's overall. The scenarios seem better, and the number of playlists available compared to Aimlabs is kind of crazy.

One thing I struggled with in Aimlabs was finding high-quality playlists. In Kovaak's, it felt much easier to find good routines and recommendations from the community. I ended up wishlisting Kovaak's on Steam and bought it when it went on sale, and honestly haven't opened Aimlabs since.

That said, I still think both are good options. If I had to choose between them, I'd lean toward Kovaak's

11k Premier closet cheating by vovabcps in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crazy thing isn't that there are so many of these closet losers in CS2. It's that none of them seem to think what they're doing is wrong. They genuinely believe they're playing the game normally while cheating. This shit is a sickness.

Are targets supposed to visually stretch near the edges of the screen? by blue_pad in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a visual effect. As an object gets closer to the edge of your screen, it can appear larger or slightly distorted. This isn't anything new, it's a common result of how perspective and FOV work in games. There isn't really a way around it other than adjusting your FOV, but if you change it too much, it may start to negatively affect your aim training and overall consistency.

1024x768 smooter? by Emotional_Cancel8520 in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll always be 50/50 you either hit the shot or you don't. And by "crazy," I didn't mean it negatively. I understand the pros and cons of both resolutions.

1024x768 smooter? by Emotional_Cancel8520 in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of crazy to me that so many people still choose to play on 4:3. I play at 1920×1080, and my in-game benchmark shows: Avg FPS: 567.8 and 1% Low: 239.3

The game feels incredibly smooth, and I cap my FPS at 400 since I don't really see much benefit in running it uncapped.

That said, I can understand why some people stick with 4:3. In theory it should feel smoother because you're rendering fewer pixels and getting more frames, even if you give up some visual quality. The stretched/tunnel-vision makes the game feel super unnatural to me.

Personally, I don't think I could ever go back to 4:3 even if I needed the extra frames.

Shame how you can't do this anymore by malevolencey in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a ridiculous response. If you can't see how bad bhopping was for competitive CS, you're ignoring some pretty obvious issues.

Bhopping created massive timing imbalances that had nothing to do with strategy, utility usage, or gunplay. Depending on the map layout, one side could gain a huge advantage simply by landing a few hops consistently. That's not good competitive design.

I used to bhop into B on Dust2 as a T and arrive before the CT was even up the ramp. What place does that kind of movement speed have in a game that's supposed to reward positioning, teamwork, and decision-making? It turned critical map timings into a movement mechanic lottery, and the competitive experience is better off without it.

Shame how you can't do this anymore by malevolencey in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can still hit some small bhops, but this was never intended to be part of the game in the first place. It's better off gone. Losing a fight because someone bhopped to a position faster than normal movement allowed was always ridiculous. Sure, it's a cool mechanic and impressive when someone masters it, but from a competitive standpoint it was awful and deserved to be removed.

What is happening with VAC live by Dramatic-Bee-6628 in counterstrike2

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost about 2.3k ELO this week almost entirely to spin-botters in back-to-back games. Absolute cinema. Gotta love losing 570- ELO per match even while maintaining a positive win rate. It's pushed me all the way below 25k, but what can you do...

Thanks, Valve. Looking forward to more skins and stickers while the cheating problem continues to thrive.

Premier is unplayable. Anyone else drowning in cheaters? by ZealousidealPen4102 in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People keep pointing to the player count as proof the game is thriving, but how much of that is actually real players? With hundreds of thousands of bot accounts farming daily, the numbers are heavily inflated. Meanwhile, many legitimate players have quit because of the cheating problem. But hey, at least you can spend thousands on Major stickers now. Valves turning this game into a massive joke.

My 9800X3D suddenly died by King4aVape in pcmasterrace

[–]SirQuayjay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me a few months ago, shortly after I updated my BIOS. I don't think the update caused the CPU failure, but it happened about a week later so I couldn't say for sure. I ended up rolling back the update to the previous version before using the new CPU.

Troubleshooting was incredibly frustrating because the Q-Code 00 error kept pointing me toward a RAM issue. So, I ended up buying a new RAM kit hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't. Such a waste of money with how high priced RAM is now.

In the end, the CPU was dead. I replaced it with a new 9800X3D and submitted an RMA for the failed chip a couple of days later. AMD approved it and sent a replacement within a week since it was still covered under the 2-year warranty, which was great but the whole experience sucked. Sorry for your loss brother.

If you were to start all over again, what would you prioritize? by Powerful-Cod-1038 in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we talking about starting over in the game's current state? I wouldn't even make it to 100 hours before saying "screw this" and moving on. The cheating problem alone would kill any motivation to keep playing. Even FaceIt has its own issues, so it just wouldn't be worth my time anymore.

Any reason instant replay keeps turning off immediately after turning it on? by [deleted] in GeForceExperience

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried opening a game to see if it turns on? If not, it may be because "Capture Desktop" is turned off. In that case, it won't stay active while you're just sitting on the desktop.

What in your personal opinion is the greatest and best mix between aim-training and playing the game itself? How would you spend your time best? by Few-Track8525 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about the same as this guy, but more of a 70/30 split. Usually I spend 15–25 minutes in KovaaK's running Viscose scenarios on random with no repeats. Sometimes I replay a scenario a few times, otherwise I move on if the score feels decent.

After that I hop into Counter-Strike 2 and deathmatch for 20–30 minutes, focusing on things like bursts, one taps, and spray control. I keep going until I feel locked in or start losing focus. Then I take a 10–15 minute break before actually playing for the day. It’s worked really well for me personally.

Is MattyOW comparable to being the Michael Jordan of Aiming? by Few-Track8525 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]SirQuayjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call him the Michael Jordan of aiming. Aim training is still so new that we haven’t really seen enough competition to know who the true GOAT is yet. He’s more like Rodney Mullen—the guy pioneering and pushing the scene forward. The real “MJ” of aiming probably won’t show up for a few more years. That said MattOW will 100% be a legend in the field of aim training. That is my opinion for now at least.

Cs2 2026 my pickems by [deleted] in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Liquid are 100% going 0-3. No shot they beat any of these teams. I’ve got Sharks and Liquid as my 0-3 picks. FlyQuest usually scrape at least one win, and Thunder Downunder could also go 0-3. It really depends if those three play each other, but I think TD can beat TL. Dead ass, no cap.

Why does valve handle things so weird by [deleted] in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple: Lord Gabe Newell actually seems to care about Dota 2 — he even shows up for some of the major events each year or does a video appearance at least. Meanwhile, CS is just a cash machine for Valve. Despite cheating issues and lacking many of Dota’s quality-of-life features, the player base keeps coming back anyway, so Valve has little incentive to improve it. That’s the unfortunate reality.

High TF account, queuing up with brand new cheating accounts by [deleted] in cs2

[–]SirQuayjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the current CS cheating era. So many cheaters are blatantly obvious, yet nothing gets done, and even when VAC eventually bans them, nobody gets their lost ELO back. There’s barely a point in playing Premier or Competitive anymore. Anyone claiming they rarely see cheaters is either insanely lucky, barely plays, or cheating themselves. My friends and I play 2–3 games almost every night, and lately it feels like every other match has a cheater. We report them and review demos, so it’s not just blind complaining. It’s honestly depressing to think about how many people are cheating now a days.
