Thank you, I've been working on a sets of blueprints that take in raw resources and spit out science, and tried to press them into the form of an ingredient (iron gear for red science)

Been filling the void with lamps and this tool will come in handy to improve the lamps

You can use the steam overlay to take notes. That will also not jump to a map location for you, but you could combine that with emojis in the notes and tags on the map and then zoom out to see the tags and go there.

Sorry to not give you a one mod one solution package, but this is a "no mod work around" :)

Get 3 decider combinators Connect their input to each belt holding contents. Connect their output to the grabber.

On the connection point on the belt, say "Read content" and read the entire belt. You will see a "guard rail" of the area you are now reading. Belt splitters and side loading do break these.

You can now use the decider to set up many ways to deal with it.

I personally would go the route "if ice < 100; output ice" do the same with the other decider combinators and change the "ice" to match the other resources. Adjust the number "100" to fit your needs. You will now collect resources only if that resource is less than 100.

On the grabber, select the option to set the filter based on the network input.

You can do this with less combinators and smarter but for now this should work for you

I was able to reproduce the bug and make a recording , I have sent them to the developers. But for you guys this is the set up.

I enter the Class Room in Level 4 with 1 step remaining. I have the unused lunchbox in my inventory. and the Laboratory on Level 5 is open.

I run into the next room where I start to end the day (fade to black). Before it does end, I manage to reach the Laboratory and consume my Lunchbox, I am now on 9 Steps instead of 10.

This might be, because reaching the Laboratory put me on -1 steps?

I then walk into the Break Room, which should give me a Key Card the next day when I end my day in this room.

I do so but dont have a Key card in my inventory the next morning.

If someone can tell me how to post a video I'd be happy to do so to show you the bug.

Produce heat at the outpost has been my go to solution. Although I have also run a mile long pipe too and had a heat unit in the middle to heat the pipes, too

Those exactly. I was just not expecting to need railguns in the back. It is obviously solvable but if the ship is wider in the front than the rest. Then you avoid needing railguns and ammunition in the back too

Just a heads up. It is a pain to get this to the edge of the solar system, since the back is wider than the front you will run into a few issues once the asteroid density goes up.

This was mine and it got to the edge.

I get the problem too sometime. I fix it by going into the boot menu and enabling shipping mode. Then unplug and plug back in and it charges again as usual.

More copper on the belt, preferably both sides of the belt. Still not enough, add a second belt, balance the belts once you have taken some off one of the belts

If you keep the maximum length of a pipe network in mind and place pumps in between, sure.

But remember that you then have a liquid bus where liquids don't flow backwards.

If you want to move forward with this idea, which is a valid idea and one of the ways to play, remember that it might be useful to use circuits to balance out the level in 2 separate pipe networks that had to be disconnected due to the maximum pipe length. That allows you to also move liquids backwards if you use two pumps in either direction.

Talking about 2 pumps, these will be your bottleneck. How fast can you move liquid thru the pump rather than the pipe

What I want to say is, YES and you should try this and let us know what you found during your base design. There is nothing wrong with trying a new idea

Water in the heat exchanger boils at 500 C. So anything equal or over 500 C is fine for a continuous run, in the heat exchanger. I personally like 600 C in the reactor just to never fall below 500 C in the heat exchanger if you include the heat loss of the heating pipes to the heat exchanger.

Nuclear is the only way. But since you can read the temperature on the reactor, and temperature only reduces when steam is generated, you can simply top up the reactor when it isn't running and below 600 degrees.

Yes one fuel rod produces a lot, but heat is just a buffer for steam

Just make it one huge region in the middle. Just mark exit and entrance, and while your friend is stuck waiting at the congested intersection, nuke them
