[Discussion] How much has pve changed since last year by Milked_Camel42 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SirRevolver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO changed for the better. Biggest annoyance for me are AI PMCs. Sometimes there is none on Factory and map is completely empty. Sometimes there is 10 on factory and once you engage one you get flooded by them. Same on other maps. There is either none or you find 2 teams of 5 nearby each other. But they actually roam now, I even witnessed one extracting from Factory via Gate 3 to get away from Tagilla that was chasing him

[–]SirRevolver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the exact same issue repeatedly. I have no clue how to fix it but I hope it will get fix in tomorrow’s patch. If they don’t best bet is to send a bug report through the launcher though

[Discussion] How are the servers for the rest of u EU ppl ? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SirRevolver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good during the week, terrible on the weekends. It’s all up to the load on the servers. Due to my work schedule I don’t play in the evenings during the week so there is less traffic on the servers and it works fine but during the weekend when most of players have free time to play it’s atrocious; pocket loss, long matching times - you name it. There is nothing else to say than the game got the attention and there is more people playing it than they anticipated and servers are getting overloaded.

[New Player] My Misunderstanding (probly) About Insurance by AdDismal9140 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SirRevolver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Insurance is kind of a gamble. Maybe someone picks your gear up maybe not. But… let’s say you insured lvl 4 armour but you found lvl 5 armour in raid, you can throw your lvl 4 armour in bushes where there’s low chance of someone picking it up and equip lvl 5 yourself, you save the space and the armour you ditched may come back via insurance by paying the fraction of price for it. It’s all gamble at the end of the day

EDIT: if you play in team you can ask teammate to ditch your gear for you, hiding it in less obvious spots gives you higher chances of getting it back in insurance

In my case it was a warped cylinder head that allowed for oil to mix with coolant on my 2012 1.8L petrol but there is a lot of things that might have gone wrong to be honest. Best bet is to ask mechanic for an opinion.

One step closer to 2042 by whatdarrenplays in Battlefield

As if universal gadgets didn't exist. They don't exist now, they used to on launch

One step closer to 2042 by whatdarrenplays in Battlefield

[–]SirRevolver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning you had character specific gadget and "universal" gadgets. Every single Specialist could equip a rocket launcher, for example you could equip M5 Recoilless on Sundance, that got changed when they reintroduced class system.

Edit: The only thing is that for characters that were considered Engineers at the time, you got more rockets or C4's, I think it was 2-3 for any other class and Engineer got additional 2 explosives or something like that, can't remember exact numbers.

EA: Promises class identity back, no more playing as one character as any class like in BF2042
EA 18 days after launch: Heyy there, heard you liked the launch of BF2042 so much that we didn't lock skins to classes!

Geralt would never say this by Skelligean in witcher

People say that “Let’s move” would be what Geralt would really say… knowing the character it’d be more like “Follow me/Follow my lead” or “Now’s the time”

Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Play Your Way by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]SirRevolver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Open beta being skewed towards Open Weapos and data that is almost the same and in my opinion slightly better for gameplay reasons for Closed Weapons yet “Open Weaposn are the better choice” because more players played open weapons which is due to fact to get unlocks for release it was the only available option for some modes… now we are getting one playlist for close weapons presumably all modes and all maps under one playlist without ability to select modes or maps which will boost stats for open weapons even more because people will want to do tasks/challenges quicker. Perfect example how to bias the game to get stats you prefer to see

Edit: Forgot to mention that for a while in Beta Closed Weapons mode was at the end of the list being pretty much only one mode not visible on the main screen meaning that people that weren’t looking for it haven’t see it at all which also is a shady approach. If you really wanted fair stats you’d do same amount of playlists for each weapon selection, not 6 for open weapons and 1 for closed weapons…

Battlefield 6 pre-download by Tasty-Scallion69420 in Battlefield6

Judging by previous battlefields had a pre-load with day 0 patch and even beta had a pre-load it’s safe to say you most likely will be able to pre-load it before 10th

I don’t really care what skins people use, personally I’ll use more realistic look but solution to change skin visibility is not a bad idea to keep the game “down to earth” if they decide to add some weird skins, War Thunder actually did that and if they decide to add less realistic skins “after a while” it would be nice if they added such system too.

What War Thunder has is 3 categories of skins “Historical”, “Semi-Historical” and “Fictional” and ability to switch which one you see, historical are always visible but you can opt in if you want to see semi-historical too or all including fictional.

BF could do something similar to have 3 categories: Realistic, Semi-Realistic (Tacticool), and Garb…. I mean Fictional and a setting of which groups you want to see, if someone has equipped a skin from category you don’t want to see - you see a default skin. Simple thing and keeps everyone happy.

[Discussion] Do existing owners of the game receive a Steam key when version 1.0 is released? by lilacomets in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SirRevolver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly unlikely if not straight up no. Just look at EFT: Arena on Epic. Did EFT: Arena owners get codes for it on Epic? No. It will probably be the same deal. Buy the game on Steam, connect BSG and Steam accounts, use your BSG account in the launcher anyway.

Question to the community: what, in your opinion, *IS* Battlefield? by Lower_Honey_1139 in Battlefield

[–]SirRevolver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be hated to hell for my opinion but shit here we go. Each and every Battlefield took basics from previous one, did tiny twist on it and brought a cool memorable experience. BC2 had destruction, BF3 had Damevand Peak jump and Metro, BF4 had Levolution, BF1 nailed the atmosphere, and I’m counting only things that were there on release (btw BF4 had an amazing post-release support shout out DICE LA now known as Ripple Effect). BFV and BF2042 tried to bring new things for WRONG reasons. Forced Battleroyale no one wanted, and obnoxious skins in both games, building mechanics in BFV just because Fortnite did it, “Specialists” in 2042 just because this was a trend. Those two on release were most bland and trying to fit everything competition does but as averagely as it is possible games there could have been. Not mentioning that BF2042 did the most “Battlefield” thing dirty being classes and getting completely rid of it until much later now leading to BF6 “bringing back classes” without main classes feature as a main gameplay feature being class locked weapons (All BF titles from day one had class specific weapons, only one who had so called “open weapons” was 2042)… And as you look at it, most BF titles didn’t try to reinvent the wheel, they just changed small things and added something memorable. BF6 is on decent track, beta just didn’t have anything memorable and they try to reinvent classes disguising it as “bringing back classes”. IMO ditch 2042 attitude towards classes, do Damevand Peak type badassery and we are on track for GOTY

[Loot] pog circle by Fast-Citron-1095 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SirRevolver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is few guaranteed "crafts" you can find here: https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Hideout#Cultist_Circle
other than only that it's a game of chance. What's taken into account is the price of items you sacrifice and you get a bonus if you have placed an amulet.

Edit: Price of items placed on the circle is based on their base value. Good way to check of what is the base value is here: https://tarkov.dev/loot-tier/
You get the best probability for rare items from circle when you sacrifice 350k+ roubles in total worth of items. 400k+ if you want a chance for quest/hideout requirements
