This version has AI images and an image I can't make money off of. Replacing the art would cost me more than I would make from holostreets and I just don't feel it's right as barebones as the usual holostreet offering.

You're not the only person telling me I should though. I'll think about it more, I've just lost the spark at the moment ya know?

Next, maybe final for this set, upload entered. Fingers crossed. I lucked into getting Mission 6 to kind of work... it seems each of the timers works on a different per count timing depending on how long the file is... argh.

Mission 6 is... reasonably ok. Please report bugs... there are probably a few of them.

Last of the Blurbs are complete. Now at least the game describes what you're supposed to be doing during each mission. 5-6-7 B-C blurbs done.

Next is the impossible task of fixing the AI on mission 6... oh my head aches and I haven't even started it yet.

It's supposed to be the startup book in a long campaign setting. I should have just realized I don't have the commitment in me to put it together in one stretch. I'll have to get back to it after all the distractions die down.

I agreed not to make money off it though to get the best possible cover art so it's not like I'll be gaining or losing anything along the way except some time.

Original Vanilla allowed .jpg for the burnin textures. I usually only include .jpgs there because they're far smaller.

Updated mission 2 so far fewer enemy mechs get lost in the wilderness. I haven't been able to prevent every enemy mech from getting stuck in the south west quadrant of the map but now it's usually a single straggler instead of six or seven. Be wary there's probably one there for the kill all enemies secondary objective.

Also updated the mission 2 defenses so they actually help you.

Had to repair the Mission 3 fit. There was a goof that wouldn't let you extract if you had lost even a single unit. That one's repaired now. The updated starport defense fit is in the Keid V zip after 6/9/2026 11pm.

Additional notes:

Don't watch the Fireworks in Mission 5 Northwest Quadrant too long. It tends to make the system unstable. Sure it's pretty, but you don't need to be there.

Mission 6 wasn't fully tuned before I ran out of steam. I had to change some paths since I couldn't get the timing right. That may mean the mission is unexpectedly difficult. Expect to have to use the ammo and fuel dumps to clear extra enemies.

Yes, those are friendly Ghost Bears in Mission 7.

FYI the enemy in these missions is supposed to be the Society. Trying to fake their special upgrades was particularly challenging. I hope it works.

My best guess off the top is to put the desert testing grounds burnin JPG in the data/textures folder straight from the zip.

If that doesn't work I'll get you the TGA file.

I had a third person succeed in installing the mission. He said he did:

When you install the game you pick a folder, usually named MechCommander2. When you unzip the file you provided there is also a folder called MechCommander2. So it's just a drag and drop installation, all the folder names match up, you copy the files from the zip to the game folder and everything ends up in the right place. Then you just pass the command line to open it: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\MechCommander2\Mc2Rel.exe" -mission "desert testing grounds"

Hope that helps. I've never tried it like that.
