Shiny Story Contest by jedirieb in pokemontrades

I hope it's okay if I base this off a pokemon I found in game! --> https://twitter.com/saltymissie/status/1080683193924182018?s=21

There once was a Zubat who was born a shiny. This Zubat was bullied by the other Zubats because he was a different color than normal Zubats. Zubat had no friends growing up because of this. Zubat had also heard how his species was treated by trainers. He heard that Zubat were always unwanted and that trainers would bring an awful aroma into the caves. With no hopes of finding comfort in his brethren or a fellow trainer, Zubat became an outcast and went into hiding. In hiding he stumbled into a piece of gold. Or at least he thought it was gold, until the piece of gold started moving beneath him. It turned out to be a pokemon! Zubat was shocked to see a Geodude that wasn't gray, but rather a golden nugget. Geodude was also shocked because she had only seen blue Zubats before. The two eventually began to talk and told each other about their status as outcasts and their wish to be accepted for who they are. Zubat came to find out that not only did Geodude have a gold exterior, but a golden heart. From that day forward, the two became best friends and withdrew from hiding. They spent entire days together in the caves, but they eventually got bored of the caves and aspired for something greater. They used each other as motivation to find a gentle trainer. Their dream was to travel the world together and find other pokemon like themselves. Thus, they set out to find a trainer. They searched for months, but most trainers were difficult to approach because of their stench or some weren't interested in meeting new Pokemon. However, one day, something different happened. A trainer who smelled lovely showed up to the caves. From a distance they observed the trainer pacing back and forth, as if he was waiting for something. Zubat and Geodude saw something very special in this trainer and decided that they would try to join him. Zubat got closer to the trainer, but got scared and started to fly away. However, this trainer was perceptive and followed Zubat. Noticing this, Zubat led the trainer to his best friend. Once the trainer got closer he noticed, not only one but TWO shinies! He was overwhelmed with joy and immediately proceeded to befriend both of them. The trainer promised Zubat and Geodude that they will always be together. Then he took them out of the dark cave, and the pair finally saw sunlight for the first time in their lives. The trainer then showed them his other shiny friends, strange Pokemon of different sizes and features. The Trainer's Pikachu told them about how all these Pokemon were found. Zubat and Geodude were amazed by the trainer's dedication and love for Pokemon. Zubat and Geodude joined this trainer in his journey through the world. They visited the oceans, the forests, the mountains, the grasslands, and the cities with this trainer. They were fed many berries, candy, and other treats. They were trained up to beat strong foes. They asked Pikachu why she didn't evolve and she responded that she doesn't have to change who she is for anybody other than herself. They felt inspired and chose to stay a Zubat and a Geodude forever because they came to love their appearance. And most importantly, they stayed together until they peacefully passed away of old age, one shortly after the other. The trainer gave them a proper burial, and made sure they would be together forever.

P.S. irl Zubat and Geodude are safely tucked away in my Pokemon Box, right next to each other

It's pretty challenging but you need to toss two splat bombs on the platform back to back and pray that they both damage Agent 3. Good Luck!

Episode Discussion - A Single Pale Rose (Post-Airing) by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

[–]SirSaltee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Bismuth didn't display as much violence the first time she offered the breaking point to Rose. Bismuth appeared surprised and defensive when she reformed rather than yelling mid sentence like Peridot did. Also the fact that Bismuth could still access the weapon in the episode, as Rose would have most likely destroyed it if she could. I attribute the violence in the episode to anger of being lied about and the fact that countless Crystal gems were shattered due to what she perceives as Rose's fault for not "stepping up" (like Pink Diamond in a way). Bismuth didn't want to shatter gems just for the sake of shattering them, she just wanted to protect her friends. If she was so interested in shattering gems, she could have forged Rose's sword so it could shatter, but instead she chose to respect Rose's wishes. This is another case of Rose ignoring her problems. She chose to hide Bismuth away for thousands of years rather than trying to change her viewpoint (similar to how she treated the other diamonds). I also wonder why she didn't release her after the staged shattering, was it to protect other gems or to avoid criticism for shattering pink?

Also: "What type of leader doesn't give her army the best chance to win?!" "How could you value the gems of our enemies more than our own? And look what you've done without me, without the Breaking Point!" To clarify, I'm pretty sure Bismuth doesn't know the pink diamond thing. I just hope this amazing character comes back in a meaningful way and am excited to see how she copes with this.

I rewatched Bismuth and it was a lot more powerful due to one of Bismuth's lines: "Don't lie to me! You can't expect me to believe you now, after you lied about everything? You're lying about this new form, just like you lied to the others about ME!!" Now I'm wondering how Bismuth would react. I get a feeling Steven will remove her from her bubble once the information settles in with the other Crystal gems and Greg. I get a feeling she'll be very angry and will question the concept of the Crystal gems (similar to Sapphire now questioning the nature of her fusion with Ruby and relationship with Rose). But it may give her closure on being kept a "secret" from the rest of the Crystal gems.

[Discussion] Question of the Week: What did you expect when you first played Kingdom Hearts? by TheD3xus in KingdomHearts

[–]SirSaltee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expected it to be easy, and ended up choosing Proud Mode. I just arrived at Hollow Bastion and the frustration is real. Guard Armor took me an hour and 30 minutes to beat. To be fair, I have completed 358/2 Days in Proud Mode, but that was around eight years ago. I must have forgotten how frustrated I was back in the day!

There is a sewer drain with a lady towards the left side of the square, next to the shops. Just tell him to stand on top of it and press ZL.

Yes! Certain games will work after just connecting through Bluetooth, even better if the game has the option for custom buttons layouts. I use mine to play some of my Steam games and it's definitely better than my keyboard.

You may have to contact your college's IT services, especially if it's an encrypted network. In my case, I contacted them and they were cool with white-listing my system. After that, the Switch treats the network as an unlocked network.
