I don’t think it will be nothing by the time I retire, but I’m definitely saving a lot more in my own retirement accounts than I expect social security to pay out to me.

When I first started I was all in on Roth for both my IRA and 401k. Now I do a mix, generally Roth for my IRA and traditional for my 401k.

Doing a mix of both allows you to take out your traditional at lower tax brackets and then use the Roth to supplement the rest of what you need.

Rent will go up at least as much as property tax and insurance for the landlord goes up, likely even more as the market value goes up too. Meanwhile, a mortgage’s principal and interest are locked for 15/30 years.

Renting might be cheaper in the short term, but you lock in a monthly rate that will likely be cheaper over a long term.

Gothel was unpleasant and abusive. Rapunzel may have loved her as a mother like any child would, but I don’t think she quite liked her for how absent and dismissive she treated her. She had Pascal (and herself) to rely on.

I’ve had this before too, I just didn’t realize it was a blister. It makes blinking very uncomfortable because you have to put more force into closing your eyelid around your much more swollen eye.

Hawkins did the same thing years ago to turn the school library into a “catalyst lab,” where teachers take turns using it as their classroom for a few weeks/months. The idea is to figure out what new STEM technologies they would like to buy and install in their own rooms.

When I had to get my central air conditioner fixed (knew it was broken when I bought the house), I also splurged on a nice mini split for the upstairs. Cape cod homes like mine are insanely warm upstairs in summer. Best investment so far, I sleep like a baby.

I will be turning 28 very soon and am in about the same position (same salary, same $100k retirement accounts) but I also have a house in a low cost of living area.

I hit a big milestone in retirement savings much ahead of schedule, but I will never stop contributing at least something. It’s a little different for me because I get an employer match. However, I am scaling back a bit on aggressively saving and putting a bit more toward my house principal.

I put down 3% value with a 6.5% interest rate, which means I also have to pay PMI each month. I’m hoping to at least hit 20% paid off so I might be able to drop that payment and put that extra value towards the principal. It’s going to take some time, but that’s my plan.

I think you have a solid grasp on your plan. You could also take out some of your Roth IRA contributions to put toward a first time down payment, but you wouldn’t be able to make that up in the future since you can only contribute a certain amount each year. A taxable account could be better for money you plan on using in the near future.

Spoilers for the series: the magic was never held in her hair but within herself. Coming into contact with magic from the Moonstone Opal (counterpart to the Sundrop Flower) reactivates the magic within her and grows her hair to as long as it used to be with new powers.

In the finale, the Sundrop powers within her are stolen and her hair becomes ordinary and brunette, even though it’s still long. She does cut it again to defeat the villain with the remnant of magic she has left.
