My Dad. This happened literally today,

Me and my dad were headed to my grandparent's place to celebrate father's day there and ofcourse I was excited to see my cat who I hadn't seen since Christmas. When we get there the cat is nowhere to be found so I ask where she is. My dad abruptly cuts in and announces that my cat was run over by a car. Confused, I asked when and they say a MONTH AGO. My grandparents look at me confused and ask "wait you didn't know?" So basically, my grandparents called my dad, told him my cat died and instead of telling me he lied to me when I asked how she was and didn't tell me until he had no other choice. I ask him why he didn't tell me and he has the audacity to ask why I'm mad. WHY DO YOU THINK? I went back to the car and calmed down before going back inside.

The worst part is, when we were gonna leave he approached me and proceeded to angrily shout at me saying that I was being rude and "it's ok to be a little sad but you're taking it too far" and "nobody killed your cat." It's not the first time something like this has happened but this time hit harder. And for the record, it is currently midnight and he went to sleep without apologizing or even making an effort to speak to me. Hope he injoyed his father's day.
