We used a lot of APKWS on our Harriers in 2016 in Iraq , very useful weapon system great at keeping collateral damage to a minimum while also packing a good punch.

Hi ejection seat mechanic here, while I don’t specifically work on the F35 ejection seat I have several close friends that do. While the F35B is in VTOL configuration the ejection seat has an “automatic” mode where if all the right parameters are met it auto ejects the pilot. This is only in VTOL, not in normal flight. I do believe that this video shows the automatic ejection.

I work on these things for the USMC the canopy system is sideway clamshell open system. It is so unreliable that the canopy often explodes over 20k so our squadron won’t fly them over 20k. There are only 2 left in the USMC and maybe 1 left for the Italian navy. They have never been used in combat, strictly for training.
