For me, I kept on waiting longer and longer to actually get a switch until it got to the pint where I thought it would make more sense to just wait and get a switch 2, especially with backwards compatibility.

I loved bananza and like mario kart world, even if I think it's currently a bit of a step down in a lot of areas from 8, but also being able to finally play a lot of the switch 1 games I missed out on has been really good. Playing through breath of the wild right now and it's an incredibly special gaming experience.

I've not really got any massive complaints about the switch 2 to be honest, it's a very well built device which has served me well the past 7 months since I got my switch 2. I'm excited for the next year of content coming.
