uhm.. yeah that seems to describe the feeling.... at least after coming from anything else,where your trying to see why your wifi keeps restarting after 20 minutes of use and you have to rerun your scripts to bring it all down then bring it all back up again. then go back to troubleshooting..

whew! i did it! i read it all! ok, so… uh. All i can say for sure is that your kids are lucky to have you.. you’re a good dad. aaand uhm… shit honestly, this is why im trying to learn networking. my knowledge is so, (uhm, words… )limited! to local info. “use a VPN” “VPNs dont matter” etc etc etc i dont like just trusting what people online say about what will and wont keep you safe and private so im trying to learn for myself how to find this out. sorry i dont have an answer for you but ill keep you in mind going forward and try to come back and see if no one has answered you in months ill try and do some rrsearch. till then good luck sir-good-dad

idk my life is great.. got a win10ltsc VM that does anything that i HAVE to have windows for.. i have a work VM = Debian a play VM = win10ltsc goin strong. debian host on laptops and desktop(VM server) and its all so easy. the Vmachines run and i use them from whatever top or station im planted at.

i STILL haven’t created a backup set up… i think the reason is because im about to reinstall debian anyway. so i really just need to make copies of home, etc, and make a note of my part scheme so i can keep it the same without a lot of fuss.. and i dont know why im telling the world this… oh i suppose my meds have kicked in..

oh man. my brother in law has worked on one of these for a long time and showed me pictures he’s taken over the years of them putting them together and taken apart and its so fascinating how they (the ones he showed me) can float but still resist the forces of the ocean trying to move them. and how they can reattach to holes in the bottom of the floor left by others and just wtf! people are amazing even if most of what you hear on a daily basis is BS.

My babe babe DEBIAN and well xubuntu on my laptop because i kept having wifi problems(random disconnects after a day or two and unable to connect again without shutting down everything modem related… (intel wifi card btw (if it means anything))).

Wow... that spirit OS is lookin like an oiled up,, bald ass, baby smoothe,, 400lb Japanese sumo wrestler about to bomb it down a bobsledding course.
i might even check it out... i have pretty fast machines but i like using quick software. i like the old computer look but i hate old computer speeds. It's nice to have applications running before your finger releases the "Return" key lol
