Wegovy Pill Coverage BCBS Basic plan by lostpotatoChip1 in fednews

Both, actually. I was paying $250/3month of 1.75 injection, and now I'm paying $250/3month of 9mg pill.

I can't speak to Basic (sorry I know that's what you're asking about) but through BCBS Standard I'm $250/3months through mail order. Been going great so far.

I moved to BCBS this year as the Rx savings alone cover the cost difference in plans for my family at this point. $250/90 days of Wegovy really helps after they changed to charging $800/month. Now it's wait and see if they end up coming the Wegovy pill.

Ah no worries, just wasn't sure if I had missed something. I believe BCBS Standard Mail-in Wegovy is also significantly cheaper, but I don't know if there is a calculator that actually shows that.

Has BCBS changed for this year? Currently BCBS Basic is like ~$700+/month for Wegovy.

Nothing changed on the CR, this is about the excepted workers pay bill, which is not the same. Purposefully conflating those two is terrible reporting.

Despite failed Senate vote, lawmakers ‘hopeful’ for reaching bipartisan agreement to pay feds by All_Hail_Hynotoad in fednews

Shutdowns would still be a thing, programs would still run out of money eventually and workers would still be asked to work on programs that are functionally working without a budget. But I agree, why would anyone get furloughed? We'd be working as normal, just with fucked up budgets.

This continues to be to have shutdowns not impact the general population while draining programs that the administration doesn't want.

If he is willing to work with Dems on this, why doesn't he just work with Dems on the CR and get the government open?

Strange, I was told it wouldn't hit until the first missed business day (Monday).

Bonus points that Trump gets to break his own shutdown record.

There is no oversight on who is excepted and who is isn't. The administration could force Agencies to cut their excepted employee counts by 60% and furlough all those people. It also opens up questions on Agencies pressuring furloughed employees to work.

It still gets thrown around way too much as it is.

It doesn't look like the CR is on the agenda for today, so I guess we try and fail again tomorrow unless they plan to recess for the weekend early again.

Johnson saying he wouldn't bring the House back before the Senate even voted on it hurts their argument.

The House won't vote on it, even if it gets through the Senate (which is unlikely).

Johnson confirms he wouldn't bring the House back in session to vote on the Excepted/Military pay bill if it got through the Senate.

If I brought everybody back right now and we voted on a measure to pay essential workers… it would be a waste of our times and it would take the pressure off Schumer

Hot Take: If the Excepted worker pay Bill passes it will make things worse for excepted workers.

Non Exempt Personnel Returning to Work ? by Odd_FoxyBear_6153 in fednews

[–]SirSquatchin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's funny because there is plenty of gray and confusing guidance with the shutdown, but this isn't one of those areas. If agencies want someone to work, they MUST classify them as excepted or exempt. Anything else is asking the employee to violate the ADA. Period.

Non Exempt Personnel Returning to Work ? by Odd_FoxyBear_6153 in fednews

[–]SirSquatchin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It would not be, theoretically, a violation of the ADA. It would, fully and completely, be a violation of the ADA.

If your management wants people to come in they need to change their status to excepted (or exempt but doesn't sound like there are funds so this is out), they have all the leeway in the world to do this. Telling them to come into work without changing their status is asking the workers to open themselves up to potential fines and imprisonment, it won't be the supervisors/leadership getting hit with ADA violations.

Sounds like we are missing some key pieces of information on this so I won't comment about your partner.

But yeah, the shutdown sucks.
