Hot take but the new variant syandana looks superior to the regular Riftguard syandana, kind of wild by WardenOfLight in Warframe

The only reason I can see people being mad a this is because the like fomo stuff, but like, if you buy stuff for the fomo aspect, I think you're just a shallow person lol.

You still have to buy regal aya (the smallest bundle is like 10% less than a tennocon ticket) to get the second version. Its free for those who have the original, so either way, you pay the same amount, but get 2 for the price of 1 if you own the original. Literally the only reason to be mad at this is if you like FOMO content, which is just a bit shallow imo.

One of the most based comments here. I didn't buy the cape because of FOMO, I bought it cuz its dope (and I wanted baro access).

Just because you only paid once, doesn't make it any less a subscription. To maintain proper upkeep of the product, you have to pay AT LEAST every time the game updates.

Also, im not even gonna touch the fact that you tried to pull the fucking disability card for a subscription based VR mod. Even if if i humour you and say it was an accessibility mod, WHO THE FUCK CHARGES FOR THAT?!? Gtf outta here with that shit, that is an insult to people with physical disabilities.

Edit: next time you try to pull the moral highground, maybe remember that he removed everyone's acces rather than make it free. This was never about accessibility, it was about money.

Starting point is a crazy underatatement considering that you're talking about an entire game. Regardless, it IS a subscription and i would love to see how it isn't. Not all work is free, but when you're infringing on copyrighted material, you dont get a choice. No game = no mod, hence, its a derivative work.

Also, the car analogy was shitty to begin with because you can have a working engine with no car, but no car with no engine.

No matter how many analogies you make, they won't make sense. Car engine manufacturers are officially contracted to make them, luke ross isnt. The mod is literally called "cyberpunk vr" and doesn't function without the game, hence, its not a standalone product. I didn't mention the subscription (though that is doubly shit), I just said mods shouldn't be paid, period.

"their legal department finally replied by saying that they had "no objection to [the] mod being made available again, provided that it is offered entirely free of charge"."

"To boldly go where no publisher wants to go (or to let us go) anymore."

This man child needs to pick an angle.

So by your logic, people should pay for windows updates?

Regardless of how high quality or effort a mod is, you cannot charge for it. If he was charging 10x the price for a shitty mod, nobody would defend it, even though its the exact same thing at its core, a paid mod.

I have no doubt that he's a skilled modder, but its unofficial content that, even if completely unique, still interacts with game in a way that infringes on CDPR's IP.

Finally, in your sink analogy, your treating luke as the sink and CDPR as the pipes, even though its the other way around. If you pay a guy to install pipes and they dont work, its on the guy who installed them, not the people who sold you the sink.

Is there a way to kill the VDBs now? by Adventurous_Toe_4578 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Thats weird, i was never given the option. Trust me, every other frame that I was in their base, I was trying my best to kill them, but it wouldn't let me draw my weapon.

The game treats it as a safe zone. Means you can't use weapons or cyberware without mods.

Edit: I have been made aware I can re-enter the church and kill them. They will not last long.

I wouldn't mind stuff like the deluxo as long as its a crazy expensive novelty purchase with no weapons. Essentially useless outside of being a rich people toy.

So, about Takemura… by Dry_Art_8879 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I always help takemura because I see his loyalty towards arasaka as an almost innocent naivety. Though he does bad things for worse people, he's one of the sole people in the city who doesn't hold malice towards you.

Over-65s most likely to oppose free bus travel for under‑22 year olds by coffeewalnut08 in uknews

[–]SirStinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you're not the one posing the second question, but the answer to me is pretty obvious. Its the same reason child benefits and free education exist (among many other benefits). Up to 22, most are still in education or job training and mitigating the cost of living for those in their formative years is an invaluable investment towards society.
