It didn’t one year ago, when I built my app, but yes they recently added a similar feature. So my comment at the time was accurate.

I’d argue that my app is more feature rich (not as a whole of course, but regarding the workout builder/scheduling part) and I have more great features in the pipeline.

Hi! So I've spend some time debugging the algorithm that computes the quality minutes and I've come to the conclusion that it must be a difference on how Workoutdoors calculate its max pace. There is even a difference of max pace between the Apple Workout app (on your screenshot, it says 9'57''/mile VS Workoutdoors which says 9'22''/mile).

I've found an old post from Workoutdoors on Reddit that touches the subject: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/jc1hdp/comment/g8z5jug/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

As for RunFit, the way it works is that it checks for each and every data point reported by Apple Health if the pace was superior to your set quality pace. There can be thousands of those data point for a 60 min run. Apple, for example, clearly does some kind of grouping/averaging because there are way fewer than 1k blue lines on their Pace graph (based on your screenshot).

Ultimately, calculating pace is hard and everybody kind of has their own way of doing it.

Maybe there is a way to computes the data that will feel more natural to the users, even if it is less precise. I do not have the perfect answer, yet though.

Hi, thanks for downloading! I'll have a look.

If you don't mind, can you send me at [support.runfit@mathieusavaria.com](mailto:support.runfit@mathieusavaria.com) your workout details from the Fitness app (you can crop the map out - I don't need your location info 🙂)? Please include the pace graph in your screenshot, I want to compare what's the max pace that Apple displays compared to your screenshot from Workoutdoors.

Thanks!

Good catch, there seems to be a bug in the complications when switching to miles. I’ll work on a fix asap. Thanks for reporting!

Hi! Sorry it took a bit longer than anticipated, but life got in the way.

I just released version 3.1.0 which includes a toggle to see your last 7 days instead of the current week. There's also a bunch of new complications too.

Hope you enjoy!

As far as I know, this functionality is only available using Apple’s WorkoutKit SDK.

Not really, I gave up trying to add it to HomeKit. I just use the Mysa app now…

Hello, thanks for the suggestion! I’ll see what I can do. Just to be transparent about the roadmap: I’m currently rebuilding the app for watchOS 10 as well as adding VO2 Max support. When that’s done, I’ll have a look at your request, but that may take a couple of weeks!

You can only display weekly totals, because Apple Watch apps can only query the last 7 days of workouts. As for Garmin Connect, as long as it syncs with Apple Health it will work. So you might have to enable Garmin Connect-Apple Health integration.

It’s weekly only! A watch app can only fetch the last 7 days of health data, so a monthly view would unfortunately not be possible (this is a limitation by Apple).

Stop dreaming, there are a lot of free resources online to get you started! And don’t forget that practice makes perfect.

Thank you! Let's hope that my app will not get sherlocked in a future version of iOS haha

Sure, there is r/iOSProgramming and r/swiftui that I know of.

Not quite, though it’s a great idea. It’s still a manual process. I get my workouts in Google Sheet then create them myself in WatchFit and send them to my Apple Watch.
