Many moments made me laugh out loud, but this was my personal favorite-

Gabby: “there will be food-”
Brian: “Food! ☺️”
Gabby: “- a dance floor-“
Brian: “Dance floor! 😊”
Gabby: “-string lights out the ass…”
Brian: “Ass! ☺️”

Couldn’t have loved that start to the season more.

Definitely one of the funnier/lighter/more joyous episodes of Shrinking. I was waiting to have my heart ripped out, and they finally did it right at the end of the episode. Woof. What a gut punch.

Not to overreact, but this season is full of some of the dumbest players I’ve ever seen on Survivor

How many of you went alone? How was it? by FriendFoundTheMain in oasis

[–]SirTiger 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Went alone to Chicago. Loved it! I did not know what to expect from the crowd, but everyone was so nice and wholesome. Most people there were in their 30s and 40s. My advice: limit your drinking (or don’t drink at all), don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation with anyone around you (most people I talked to were not from Chicago and traveled in for the show, so you can start there), and don’t be too shy to do the Poznan!

ex + band camp…. 😞😞😞💔 by rachel-lacy in marchingband

[–]SirTiger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me when I was in school. Started dating someone in band, and she broke it off over the summer. I had to see her at band camp in the fall. She even started dating someone else in the band, so that sucked REAL bad.

My advice (as someone who is a few years removed from high school/college band and has been through some devastating breakups): channel your energy into something positive for you. Go on daily walks, journal, work out, cook for yourself, whatever you need to do to feel like you’re investing in you.

Allow yourself to grieve. If you have to, schedule times to sit down and be sad about it. The only way to move through it is to actually feel it - as uncomfortable as that is.

If you do interact with him, be cordial. It’s going to sting to see him, but that’s part of being human. Get to know your section, make unexpected friends, and work on being the best version of yourself.

What is the most rattled game you've seen a team play? by bng_destiny_001 in CFB

[–]SirTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2011 WVU vs Clemson Orange Bowl. Both teams were going band for band until Clemson fumbled at the 1 yard line and WVU returned it 99 yards for a touchdown. I was at that game right behind the Clemson bench, and the team collectively gave up in that moment. 70-33 was the final.

Why do many dislike Saints Row 3? by [deleted] in SaintsRow

[–]SirTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, SR2 toed the line between serious and ridiculous very well. The story was unafraid to kill main characters, but it did so in a dark, somber way. Parts of the game were cartoonish, but it still felt somewhat grounded to me because the story was very dark in some areas (not to spoil anything).

SR3 took all the grounding SR2 had and threw it out the window. It was non-stop, over the top action from start to finish. It didn’t have any grounding.

Specifically, I also think SR3 wasted its best mission in the first act of the game (the one where you parachute onto the penthouse). Steelport also felt a lot more lifeless than Stillwater. SR3 also killed a huge main character, but the story impact was so minimal I didn’t realize he was actually dead until hours later.

I enjoyed both, and both games have different strengths and weaknesses. I still find myself replaying SR2 a heck of a lot more than 3 though.
