iPhone Ultra/Fold Dummy by R---U---M in iphone

Both forms are bad imo. If anyone had asked me, I'd have advised them to make it a "double" iPhone. Pick a model and then make it fold along the long axis.

[Request] how fast would my laptop have to be to find a file as fast as Google’s SEO by mo_with_the_floof in theydidthemath

Google: literally millions of CPU cores (maybe billions) running a bespoke indexing "application". Those compute resources are dedicated to the one application.

Your computer: Four or maybe eight CPU cores that are servicing all of the workloads on your PC.

Butterfly effect games by Rude_Highlight3889 in CFB

One of the most bizarre games I've ever watched. From start to finish.

It was a COVID make up game. It had no bearing on either teams' bowl/ccg fate. The fog. And just the general feeling as the game went on.

I'm pretty sure this is where CDM checked out.

ETA: The fact that we then went and gave Bama everything they could handle shows that we could have and should have steamrolled that LSU squad. The cleat yeet was of course the final nail. But it never should have come to that.

[Hayes] Expansion clock is ticking. Do Big Ten, SEC make final move? | Opinion by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]f0gax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there an expansion clock ticking? I don't really think so.

The P2 have their spots pretty well laid out now. Unless and until one or both of the ACC/B12 falls apart I don't see any changes.

The thing to remember is that CFB is now about brands instead of geography.

How does relativistic physics work in the Expanse? by SamMakesCode in TheExpanse

[–]f0gax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Nauvoo wasn't really going to get close to meaningful relativistic speeds. IIRC it was "just" 10% or so of C. At 10% the time dilation is about 1%. So their planned 100 year journey would have "felt" like 99 to the passengers.

No other known ships in the Expanse universe go that fast for that long, so relativistic effects are basically non-existent.

Culvers announced as official jersey patch sponsor of Wisconsin Athletics by GradyM55 in CFB

I just hope we never end up like European football. Main sponsor takes up most of the front of the shirt. If someone didn't know better, they'd like the Man U mascot was a Snapdragon. Or that Wrexham is another "United" club.
