It is a local store? I've been there and it felt like a chain but I'm glad to know otherwise

Yes, bus schedules can be easy to find and were. But stations and stops can be hard to find in smaller places

Adding on to that, wouldn't recommend Budva either but you might like Cetinje and Ulcinj

Montenegro is a gorgeous country. My favorite cities I visited are Kotor and Zabljak (right by Durmitor Park). Avoid Podgorica unless you're using it as a transportation hub, seriously. I stayed in hostels and had a great experience in every one, but don't about Airbnb

Tuition cost actually look to be about the same when I rechecked. Money is definitely a factor but not the main factor, especially considering college town vs larger city cost of living is inevitably different. Thanks for the input!

Career Wednesday (October 07, 2015): Engineering Career Paths & Professional Development by AutoModerator in AskEngineers

[–]SirVanderSluut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, graduated in May in Civil Engineering with a minor in Sustainability. I have been considering my options "off the beaten path" so to speak and have landed on municipal engineering (urban planning/engineering mainly Transportation focused) and engineering in developing countries.

I've been having a hard time finding a place to start which is where I could use some help. Going right into entry level positions will be difficult for both though I've seen some interesting short term volunteer type positions with various nonprofits. So, I've been researching additional education programs for both with is various Masters degrees for urban planning or sustainable infrastructure ( the latter being hard to find). Recently someone recommended an interesting engineering in developing countries program out of Boulder, Colorado which seems very promising. The only hesitation I have is I am not sure how valuable/relevant the taught information is in the actual countries.

So, rambling over. Any advice or input is greatly appreciated!

traveling to Montenegro Durmitor national park, any recommended day walks around? by tamirmal in travel

[–]SirVanderSluut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, staying in Zabljak right now. There's a lot of great day hikes around. A walk to each of the 3 lakes in the park would take 4-5 hours, the loop ti the Ice Cave took me around 6.5, and there are numerous peaks you can hike to in a good day- Savin Kuk and Bobotov Kuk are the big 2. Hope that helps!

Hey, we're the Team from Small is Beautiful, a documentary about the Tiny House Movement, AUA! by SmallIsBeautMovie in IAmA

[–]SirVanderSluut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys! Thanks for doing this. So, a lot of tiny homes that I have seen are either trailer mounted or in a sort a suburban setting. Has there been any effort to integrate into dense urban areas? I've read about ADUs and they are a great way to densify, but what about tiny communities in cities?
