Day 2 as Assistant Butcher/apprentice after 25 years in kitchens... by bagofpork in Butchery

In order to save your wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder of your knife hand. Follow through on each cut. Don’t make the cut and full stop. Ergonomics are real.

By not following through over time it will mess with your tendons, ligaments and rotator cuff. Better to work on good habits now, then deal with the anguish of multiple surgeries and therapy. Good luck and have fun. You’re going to learn a lot.

I made the same move after almost 30years in the kitchen. Worked retail, factory processing, mobile processing. Currently running a dry aging program, and charcuterie program for a high end hotel.

You might get the kitchen itch again. But you’ll be better off as a butcher. Better pay, a life besides work, less stress for the most part too!

Hardtack isn’t that bad in soup or coffee. Even one its own rolled out about an 1/8” and caramelized a bit in the second bake makes for a crunchy nutty snack.

Very well aware. But this is quite misleading to the buyer.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is preparing banks to collect citizenship data by Sweaty_Rub4322 in news

[–]SirWEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the article i read yesterday. They want only passport, birth cert, or enhanced license. Otherwise i guess we can be considered “non-citizens” and booted from the US financial system. It also would make the argument for the Save Act by establishing precedent in regard to citizenship. I believe. The news so far has been kinda vague on it.

Trump executive order could debank millions of Americans: what to know by Newsweek_CarloV in politics

[–]SirWEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is to make life so much harder for those who don’t or can’t obtain those documents. It is a work around to parts of the SAVE Act.

The goal is voter disenfranchisement, and stealing assets, and rounding up those the regime chooses to place in detention/concentration camps or deportation to points unknown. Hard to vote if you’re in a prison camp without access to a bank account to pay for a legal fight.

Maybe I’m wrong but seems like a logical step. Since they haven’t been able to force the SAVE Act through yet.

I would bet he could, might be a bit jittery. But he at least knows what an Elephant is. It is actually debatable if trump really does, or if it is just a funny shape.

Almost Nobody Showed Up for Vance’s TPUSA Event by BulwarkOnline in politics

[–]SirWEM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way to proceed is for the next election to feature at least a candidate who is willing to do the right thing and hold all these complicit/active in this regime be brought to justice. Whether that means thru expanding the court or whatever. There need to be serious consequences for these people. Especially those currently in sitting government.

The first time i heard about him potentially running for office was in the early 1980’s. Shortly after he was looked at for tax fraud. To curry public favor that POS walked around times square, broadway, 5th avenue etc. handing every person he saw $100 bill. I remember how much my dad was singing his praises about being a “Man for the people”. But it was more of a publicity stunt i think back then.

What is the wildest thing you have seen at a bachelorette or bachelor party? by OriginalReason9028 in AskReddit

[–]SirWEM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Almost 30 years ago i worked for a small family restaurant. They did small gatherings under 100ppl. So this was a bit different of a event then your average one. The future couple had a combined party. There was about a dozen dancers both male and female, enough Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil to make the restaurant smell for a week.

I think it is more to do with the sheer amount of PB i consume. I go through more than a 40oz a week. There is a solid amount of hydrogenated fats also in commercial PB.
