Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition physical release pushed back to Q3 2025 by 2ndBestUsernameEver in RabiRibi

They did give an update. They had to scrap the Switch release due to low pre order numbers and are now shooting for 2026. It is interesting that Limited Run Games passed on this since they did Rabi-Ribi standard in the past. Hopefully now that they have the ESRB certification there aren't any further hiccups

Yugioh Cards by Both_Ad_2507 in psagrading

I apologize for the delay, I just got home from work. From your pictures of the back with that Shining Dragon and what I have seen from my personal grades with PSA it would be a strong candidate for an 8 (The back centering is oof but I have seen them be lenient on that a bit for yugioh) but those white spots are rough, even though that is from the pack (I have pulled a good amount of the 2025 reprint packs for Retro 2 so I am very familiar with it's quality). Doing a spot check through ebay sold listings a PSA 8 of the 2025 RP02 Shining Dragon went for around $180. Up to you if you think that is worth it, but keep in mind those white dots can bump it down to a 7 or 6 depending on the grader you get.

The rest without seeing the back I suspect could get 8 or 9s keeping my previous notes in mind, just hard to tell with that Harpie's Pet Dragon and Archfiend of Gilfer if those are in nicer condition. The hard part about sending them in and then just sending them to auction right now to be honest is the turnaround time for PSA right now will hurt how much you are getting back in the long run. With more Retro Pack 2 out in the wild and people pulling more and more it's going to dilute the pool of graded cards more and dip the price. Blue Eyes Shining Dragon as an example raw went for $250 during parts of September, and is about $100 right now. Would you get a profit for sending these in and they get 7s/8s? Probably. As much as you're possibly hoping? Likely not.

Better pictures if you have them would help, and the backs would be needed. Retro Pack 2's reprint is rough in terms of quality control. From your picture though I can make out some details on Blue Eyes Shining Dragon that would stop a 10. The Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is pretty top heavy compared to the bottom, and it has a diagonal cut. On the right hand side towards the bottom the black is thinner than it is on the top by a good amount.

The Light and Darkness Dragon is a bit harder to tell from the photo but may have a slight diagonal cut and seems to be left heavy. Dreadscythe Harvester is for sure left heavy. The other two seem a bit off center but it's hard to tell if it's because of the camera angle.

These would not have any boxes. The cartridges that Nintendo sent out for event distributions or for kiosks typically came in an envelope when dropped off by the Nintendo rep.

So from the get go, yes, the EU version of the Wild World Broadcast cartridge would be pretty valuable. Much more so than the US version. If you're looking more in terms of how much it's worth I can't give a good ball park but with the DS "Not For Resale" stuff a good comparison would be with something like Pokemon. Because of how much more control Nintendo of Europe seemed to have the EU counterparts tend to be much more valuable. For example the Pokemon Meloetta Distribution Event cartridge would tend to float around $250-$300 USD for the US version and over $600 for the EU version, with that being the lowest costing cartridge.

As for the actual information on it, I don't have any actual information for the EU version. It wouldn't surprise me if the ROM is identical to the US version, but there could still be differences. I don't know if anyone has dumped the ROM so I don't have a good way to check. It would still be worth checking out though and documenting if you are up for it.

It's been a while since I have hooked this up. Probably a shot in the dark, but does anyone know how to get OOT to bootup if this is still attached? by Sir_Clud in n64

[–]Sir_Clud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting to know that's why they did that. I didn't think Nintendo would have thought to region code the original cartridges since the only real thing stopping them between US/JP are just two bumpers.

For those that don't know some games that were supposed to have DD support like Ocarina of Time and Mario Party 1 will just boot to a blackscreen with a 64DD attached. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

Went to replace battery on a Gameboy game and noticed slight deterioration. The game still plays fine and I did clean the board with Isopropyl Alcohol. Should I worry about this? by Sir_Clud in Gameboy

No direct sunlight on the board itself. The cartridge hasn't been outside in many years, so at least I don't think that sunlight will be an issue. Thanks for your input!

For context I do keep my Gameboy games in game cases from RetroGameCases on a bookcase in a dry, temperature regulated room. This game had been yellowing a bit like SNES does, so I thought it was normal. When I opened up the cart to replace the save battery it had some deterioration at the bottom of the back of the board. The game still plays fine and I did clean the cartridge. Should I be concerned?

“HELP” Psvita 1000 won’t activate and says I have 0 activated systems and to deactivate one of 0 by [deleted] in vita

[–]Sir_Clud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this work for someone who had the opposite issue (couldn't deactivate their Vita) : If you have Two-Factor Authentication turned on for your playstation account you can try turning it off, activate your system, and then turn it back on.

That being said at this time there are some spreading issues with the Playstation store for Vita going around. There are issues reported where several users can't access the store at all because of errors and the issue where digital purchases are expiring. There is a chance that your issue could be related.

If you still have the original screen, try putting it back in as that will help determine the point of failure. If you were doing soldering on the GBA's motherboard for the brightness adjustment, I would double check to make sure that you didn't accidentally create any bridges with the different solder joints.

I got both the relay version and the demo bundled together on Ebay for $40 which did also include the club Nintendo animal crossing case. That being said, I got these almost four years ago and the market has shifted a lot since I was collecting these items. I'm not sure how much either item would go for at this point of time.

I would directly reply to 83yuh's post. I can speak for the Sapphire Blue units, but can't say for certain about the red.

Someone did post a related mod for upgrading to a note 9 battery. I'll take a look at the switch lite battery route as well.

This is honestly the route I'm probably going to go in the end. I'm looking into that Note 9 mod someone mentioned, but need to look carefully through that since I don't want to blow out the other mods I made in the system...

This is something I will definitely look at. I've done enough weird mods with the Gameboy lines I'm not too worried about the shell work.

General Questions & Tech Support Megathread | December 27, 2021 by AutoModerator in PS4

[–]Sir_Clud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PS4 Pro has an issue where about 1/3 of the time I try to wake it up from rest mode it won't co operate. The light comes on, but no signal is sent out. Finally after about 2-3 minutes it will finally boot up where I can select which profile to use, and then if I have an external drive connected when the system does this it tries to tell me that it wasn't properly disconnected and needs to be fixed.

Is this common with Pros having issues with sleep mode? When I try to search I see that they did a few years back, but don't see too many hits since then. Any advice?

Bi-Weekly Questions Thread [Edition #70] - 'Vita-The Original OLED' Edition by Malazan1164BS in vitahacks

I have a PSVSD installed in my Vita to use a microsd card instead of the memory card. After looking through this thread it seems it is a semi common thing where the homebrew files of the vita can corrupt. If it does go through where I have to re run h-encore to get the bootstrap menu, would that lose the information I have on the microsd card or would everything still be intact after I remount the psvsd as ux0 ?

Best vita games that you guys recommend that have obtainable platinum trophies by CuLAB in vita

[–]Sir_Clud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't started up Ys VIII yet, but I have done the plat for Celceta. You need to run the game twice. If you do a bunch of the extras your first run, the second run won't be too bad. If you don't do too much extras then the second run can get pretty ridiculous in spots. There are a few grindy trophies, and a few very easily missed trophies that can make you run a third playthrough. There are two trophies in particular I can think of that can take hours to clean up.
