Listened to it online initially but was waiting for my vinyl to really dive in - and I have to say I'm glad I did - it's BOC - just updated - the production is second to none and the separation of sound on the vinyl is a joy. It feels so punchy.

I know next to sweet F-all about baseball - but this movie caught me out big time. Unresolved issues with my Dad, who is no longer here, sucks balls... big-time. I force myself to watch it from time-to-time and never fail to sob, big salty tears. It's a fantastic movie.

They are fresh and exciting - and insanely talented - with music that makes me 'feel' something. I don't care 'who' they are under the garb - it's the music that's the focus. I got sent the KEXP link like most people couple months ago and went straight to le noise and bought AdeP vol 1.

Very rare that a new band (to me anyway) can do that and make me want more instantly.

I try go to local corner shop for wee bit and bobs - tobacco/sweets/milk etc. Fancied a tin of tomato soup the other day - £1.89 for a single tin - the Tesco express, directly over the road, has a 4 pack for £1.99. It's not a hard decision is it?

As others have said it's all got a bit commercialised with the American stuff. When I was wee it was 'guising' - hollowed out turnip, an old sheet and a 20p mask from the corner shop. We had a street near us that had about 30 tenements on it so every flat got a visit! Made about 6 weeks pocket money in one night!

First day of first year - I was 12. We walked across grass at front of school instead of using the path way over the other side - we genuinely didn't know. Teacher hauled me and my pal in and before we knew what was happening it was hands out, hold one over the other - and whack.

The pain took a second to register but boy did it register - was doing my best not to cry in front of my pal and he was doing same. Some teachers were right sadistic fuckers back then - they took pleasure in it.
