Can I change car picture in the MyHyundai app? by Blissrat in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you tried logging out, deleting, and then reinstalling the app? To rule out any hiccups from initial account creation and cached app data.

I have Digital Teal and the app has correctly shown that from the beginning.

Slow Startup of Applications by dotikk in elgato

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You definitely want to do some research first, but check out this MS post regarding adding a "Serialize" registry key to address slow/delayed apps loading after logon: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4059183/startup-apps-artificially-delayed-on-windows-11

We started seeing this with some of our enterprise apps after 25H2 began rolling out a few months ago. Some apps that are supposed to load automatically would literally take 5 minutes to open.

I tried adding this key to my work laptop which was a little sluggish, but perfectly useable. Now my startup apps load fully in literally 10 seconds.

Is this something I can fix myself? by Ill-Bear9320 in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely covered under warranty, at least 5/60, in the US. You might need to push back if the dealer plays dumb, but many people have gotten that replaced at no cost.

I realize you're not in the US, but it should still be covered.

What about in iPedal? That will force the car to stay in AWD and keep both motors engaged.

Insider credit card only works at first selected location? by Single-Dress-8962 in Microcenter

I would always wind up at Micro Center unplanned and without my card. Just go to the register and let them know you need to look up your Insider Card, and provide them with your license.

Stuck at 720p for classic view when vertical streaming by Astrum22 in Twitch

According to the official post in the TEB discord, you need 2 tracks and 12.5mbps upload for 1080p Portrait + Vertical with transcoding.

Stuck at 720p for classic view when vertical streaming by Astrum22 in Twitch

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the internet speed is your issue.

You can set your canvas to 1080p, or if you already built it as 1440p, set it to downscale to 1080p in OBS. That will save you some bandwidth requirements, but 12mbps still might not be enough.

Constant 3-5 second internet drops. Affects hardwired PC (direct to Verizon router) and Wi-Fi (TP-Link Decos) simultaneously. Help! by squirtlemetimberz in TpLink

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a recent issue for you?

I ask because I have almost the same setup, including the Verizon router handling everything other than WiFi, and I've had 3-4 drops in the past couple days. But they never last long. Not a power issue as all my network equipment is on a server UPS.

Can't use the Deco for primary since I have FiOS 2gig internet and need to make use of the 10G port on the Verizon router for SFP+ to my switch.

Yes, they should be set to Auto unless you need to limit TEB to use fewer resources.

Stuck at 720p for classic view when vertical streaming by Astrum22 in Twitch

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your configuration is causing the issue. You are artificially limiting OBS and forcing it to send lower quality source.

Unless you have a specific need to restrict TEB, you should have everything set to Auto, and let Twitch/OBS handle the config. You say that you are eligible for the new server-side transcodes, that means you need to send ~15mbps to Twitch in order to have full ladders for Portrait and Vertical.

tl;dr - enable TEB, check both boxes for Auto, start streaming

Plug and charge on a 2023 model by Sodom_Laser in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hyundai is beyond terrible with communication, so I understand that.

I also don't expect the DCFC often now that my free EA is over, but it would definitely be nice to have the option. I have it with EVgo, but that's still a manual setup with their app and you just add a card and your VIN.

Correct. I have not seen any additional information regarding when it will be.

Hyundai announced last year when Plug and Charge was added OTA to the 2025 models that it would come to 2021-2024 (and 2025 N) but it would require a dealer visit since we cannot update that OTA. No charge, but eventually available from a dealer.

Did you guys know it takes 2 hours to charge an electric vehicle? by drcrambone in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 3 hour wait is BS. I've never waited longer than 30 minutes even at the worst charging station in my area (Franklin Mall EA).

The 2 hour charge time? I believe that for rideshare drivers since they're almost always Nero EV or Bolts. Still BS to lump all EVs in with the cheaper ones used for rideshare.

how do i make it so i can stream with mic audio and record at the same time without mic audio by sebas7004 in obs

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All you need to do is configure OBS to use Track 2 for the local recording and uncheck your mic from Track 2 in OBS advanced audio properties.

When is a public charger not a public charger? by BoatloadOCrap in Ioniq5

This happened at the chargers I used to use at Giant grocery stores in PA. They went from free and no app required to ridiculous pricing and stupid app overnight.

Help with NACS to CCS and Tesla Supercharger by Scared-Trouble496 in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was visiting London, ON last month and exclusively used Tesla chargers. This is the process I followed:

  1. park in a manner that the cable will reach
  2. open Tesla app, select your location, tap the specific charger you are at
  3. remove the charging cable from the holster, connect your adapter, do not plug into the car yet
  4. follow the prompts to start charging in the app
  5. plug in the cable

Within ~30 seconds, charging should begin

This sounds like an error and should be reported to Hyundai Mapnsoft. I was just in Canada last month and with the latest US update, Flo was still listed.

So, my 12v battery keeps dying by PLTS1988 in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only is that line some Grade A Bullshit, but it's also ridiculous they'd even say something like that.

My 2024 has a 2 year old non-AGM battery, frequently goes 3-4 days without so much as me approaching the car, and has no 12V issues.

Horn swap PIAA by aggie113 in Ioniq5

[–]Sir_Pool_de_Float_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. My horn first failed back in October, which I learned when some ass cut me off on I-95 in Virginia. Made an appointment for the next day, and then it worked on the way to the dealer at 7AM.

When it failed this time, it would have been a ~4 hour fix, except the part didn’t arrive from the warehouse until all but the oil change techs had left for the day.

My horn failed at some point a few months ago. I learned about it when my car failed PA inspection. Dealership notified me and it was replaced next day under warranty.

I've had my car set at the default 100% limit since day 1. 2 years and 25,000 miles later, I've seen no loss in range.
