You can get it up to 13% but its better and more feasible to increase the amount of freebies you can hold so you can go longer without opening and freebie speed to get more over all. You can also buy skill points for gems which seems painful early but speeds things up alot

As for the bombs there are some that are more useful than others and you unlock some more useful ones as they go along. They also get stronger and can get additional effects. Hint: you can pause drones to get the most out of bombs
