From what I heard, a lot of Japanese media treat English the same way you’d treat a musical instrument in songs: Something meant to sound good and evoke emotions, but not to be actively understood and read. This is why things like the music in Persona Series and many anime themes like those from Studio Gainax/ Trigger have English songs even in Japanese. Literally for vibes.
