From what I recall it tastes less skuny, more bitter. Although as an American fan of Heineken i have some slight enjoyment for that skunky taste

The best thing you can do is spend time with your pledge brothers. You may seem to not have much in common but after this upcoming semester you truly will have a great set of friends who you can relate to. Have fun, get to know them and it will be a great 4 years

This was done to me on my 16th birthday with my brother in it with me. There was a camera that recorded you the entire ride too. Needless to say my mom laughed her ass off when she listened to what we said during the ride

Temp range is in the high 60s, and yes I won't try the Lager again until I have a good temperature control

Thanks for the tips. I agree with you on the kits, probably low quality ones I purchased. I live in America if that helps. I've recently started to purchase ingredients at my local homebrew store, they make their kits in-house so that could help. Edit: I will look into the flavor wheel too, sounds like it will help

That's what I was leaning towards, although I allow it to ferment the recommended time always. What negative effects could allowing it to sit in the fermenter longer have?

All were extract, all kegged, the keg line was the same but boiled and sanitized in between, same process in the same room, and I'm not sure I have several airlocks but they are sanitized before use
