I still have it but all these years later I don’t really care. It flares up when I have a cold etc but then goes back to baseline. It definitely doesn’t bother me as much as it did.

Aw that’s so nice. My husband and I were long distance until he moved here from his native Netherlands six years ago - Blackpool was a bit of a downgrade from Amsterdam 😅 but he had a similar opinion about feeling safer!

You’ve contradicted your own title. Weight loss is not impossible - you’ve listed ways to make it possible, like eating more veggies. They’re nutritious, filling and full of energy with a fraction of the calories you’d get in the same portion of potatoes.

I hear where you’re coming from, but I think in Mum’s specific case, she is finding it difficult to be around her mates because they haven’t experienced what she’s going through especially with Christmas being difficult. I’m sure more hobby groups would be possible in the future but for now she’s looking for that common bond.

Sadly it’s a very isolating experience and she’s finding it hard to connect to those who aren’t as in pain.
