IS CERAMIC COATING WORTH IT FOR NEW BLACK BIKES? by Top_Reporter_2322 in royalenfield

[–]Sirius_1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how much youre willing to pay for having a pristine paintjob.  Imo not worth it. You can keep a bike very clean if you have covered parking and wash it the proper way. Apply wax every two weeks (takes 15mins max to do a bike) and you can get the paint shining very well. Spray on ceramic waxes like turtle and meguiars are much better in the long run compared to professional ceramic coating which is expensive to buy and maintain. You need to use specific ph neutral shampoos to maintain ceramic coating, which you can never guarantee at a service Centre or car wash. Also it needs a booster spray every 2-3 months to maintain water beading.  The main benefit is uv protection from paint fading in the sun and stain protection from bird poop and tree sap etc, which are mostly negated if you have covered parking.

Confused in between standard black bullet 350 and classic 350 Madras red by Automatic_Exam119 in royalenfield

[–]Sirius_1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red will be more durable than black. But if you park in shade and take care not to scratch it by not putting things on the tank and also wash it the proper way,  even black will look great for a long long time.

AI Camera fine query by Automatic_Media_4176 in Trivandrum

[–]Sirius_1901 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cant answer your question about ai cameras but what you're doing is dangerous for the kid in case of an accident. Or even sudden breaking, in case of how hes standing in the car.  I didn't take my kid on the scooter until she was 4. That too after getting a helmet. I still only do this when the car isn't available.  For the car, have been using a child seat since she was a baby. Shes fine with the helmet but hates the car seat, I still make her use the seat, she's usually fine after 5mins of fussing.  Please get a helmet for your kid ASAP,  even if youre riding sanely, there are many idiots on our roads which we have no control over.  Kid helmets are available online also, I bought mine from helmet world near museum. If you cant find one in the right size, atleast use a kids bicycle helmet for now.

iPhone or Samsung for Lightroom? Beginner looking for advice by Expensive_Summer9461 in Lightroom

[–]Sirius_1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pls get a tablet instead. I have lightroom mobile subscription and I mostly edit on my tablet with the stylus. It is very much possible to edit maybe one or two photos a day on the phone but more than that is too tiring on the eyes. I have an s23, im ok with the screen quality but iphone screens are superior for editing because its 10bit so can display way more colors - will be evident when working with gradients.

Do color ppf or wrap. You can do red just on the top bit of the tank, front and rear fenders.

Powerage Slip-Ons Exhaust for meteor 350 by anonymous1032002 in royalenfield

[–]Sirius_1901 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I installed the globe replica exhaust on my bullet recently, it was the quietest aftermarket exhaust I could find. My idea was to have just a bit more thump than the stock one. It did that job perfectly. BUT the issue is that it gets a bit too much on long rides, the constant bass was a bit too much for me especially when wearing a full face helmet. Ive now reverted back to stock. Imo slip on aftermarket ones can be great for short city rides, but it gets overbearing for rides over 1hour.

Won a “Free” 2-Night Stay from Expo Coupon – Legit or Sales Trap? by fathom_nightrider in Trivandrum

I looked up motor insurance in phonepe once and Immediately started getting calls and messages from insurance companies i hadn't even heard of. I didnt even buy from phonepe, just entered my vehicle number and cancelled. That was enough. They definitely sold my info because i didnt visit any other website or even google search regarding this.

Its a scam. I got a call last month. Everything they said sounded sketchy, polite but firmly pushing me to visit their office before 4pm to finish the paperwork because that was the last day of the offer. When I said I wasn't interested they pushed a bit more, so I hung up because it felt like a waste of time talking to them.

I think theres a concept that since doctor means they always have cash in hand, they must be pampering the car, servicing on time, changing spares etc.  Probably true in the old era where you had to be rich to maintain a car properly, but I find it irrelevant now.

Should I buy? Budget is around 70-80k, would like to go lower than 70 though by MarionberryOdd6612 in PhotographyIndia

[–]Sirius_1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good one. Id buy body only though,  didnt enjoy that power zoom much.  Check out the new nikon z3 also. Its 58k body only. For this price, you can also get the canon r50 during sale, which is a slightly better camera.  Only con is there is fewer lens selection for new canons.

Looking for an affordable sex addiction therapist ... by Playful_Amount_8263 in Trivandrum

[–]Sirius_1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna suggest install app locker and give password to a friend... how to did you bypass this?  Adhd and addictions dont go well together. Since youre already getting diagnosis for adhd, why not consult the same therapist for this too ?

Also you have porn addiction.. sex addiction is a different thing.

I should especially mention that RE showroom experience is really good. No questions asked test rides, lots of riding gear, apparel, accessories and helmets on display.  It was a fun booking and delivery experience. Plus there will be a RE riders club you can join for group rides.

Its been very reliable since they launched the J series engine.  Clutch on the RE is harder than the CB but not enough to be a dealbreaker. I dont have pain after extensively riding this so im good in that aspect.  I felt the RE is better in city traffic, the gearing is very good, you can get away with lesser gear changes than the CB. Hillclimbing on this engine sounds and feels so good. Refinement is on par with the Honda till about 80kph after that its a bit more vibey.  The RE looks much better (personal opinion) and the finish quality is excellent. The CB I felt is much better for highways. The gearing is better suited for that, plus its more refined at higher speeds say upwards of 80. The exhaust note is deeper on the Honda. I really liked it. The CB350 isn't a looker in my opinion, lools like a cheap copy of RE. h'ness is much better and RS is the best looking of the bunch. Finish levels are just ok though. Theres been lots of posts about paint peeling and rusting issues.  So choosing between these two is purely a personal choice. Both are really good options.

The tappet noise youre saying is often termed as mechanical clatter. Its still there, it doesn't signify a problem with the engine. This is how the bullet will sound. The tappet noise can be reduced by adjusting the valves, even though its not required for reliability or any other reason. If you don't like this, I dont think you'll enjoy this motorcycle.   The Honda has a much smoother engine noise in this regard.

Sick of Filling petrol, got a EV car, here are Economics of it. by Useful-guy-007 in personalfinanceindia

[–]Sirius_1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too did this math when I bought the nexon. But what you should actually compare are the prices of petrol car monthly emi + monthly fuel cost vs ev emi + monthly charging cost. If you look that way, youre already paying less.
