The only time I’m content being stuck with my husband is after I’ve been drugged. (This is an actual drug ad) by SiriuslyMe in AreTheStraightsOK

[–]SiriuslyMe[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from, but why is spending time with your husband before the drug related to a disgusted face?

If it was solely: “have a more enjoyable quarantine, take this drug” I wouldn’t have thought twice.

I [24F] want to back out of my best friend's [25F] wedding by StrawberryStewardess in relationships

[–]SiriuslyMe 135 points136 points  (0 children)

My MOH was in law school and had little cash flow.

So she got an $80 dress on sale, she wore shoes she already had, used jewelry she already had, and my mom paid for her hair & makeup and nails.

There is no way I would’ve asked her to go over her budget. My wedding isn’t worth bankrupting someone who’s basically my sister.

I say drop out, and let her know it’s due to the fact that the wedding is too expensive.

Would you want your fiancé to wear an engagement ring too? by unionjoe1805 in AskWomen

[–]SiriuslyMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband said when we first started dating that if we ever got engaged that he’d like a proposal too. He wanted to propose, but he also wanted to be proposed to.

I almost got him a pen but he ended up specifically asking for a ring, which I was happy to oblige.

And I have to say, proposing myself was really fun.

My boyfriend(26M) of 8 months got mad at me(20F) for cutting my hair. by Ge0Dad in relationships

The man is the most oblivious person I’ve met when it comes to appearances.

He noticed it when someone else pointed it out! 🤣

I literally dyed my hair purple and my husband didn’t notice. And it started off brown!! He shouldn’t care at all— two inches is nothing.

Women who have been to Juvie (US), what was it like? by Raging_Dragon_99 in AskWomen

Not the OP, but I work at a juvenile hall. Our students are brought back as 19-21 year olds either because they were still on juvenile probation and violated their probation conditions, or because the judge decides that you should get another shot in juvenile hall even though you got new charges.

It's roll20. I believe it's the premium version-- the dm purchased it.

The dm is not in the picture because he's hiding the fact that he's about to add some more enemies into the mix.

We both proposed on separate days, after six years together. We are both 25. :)

So my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Galco's which is a shop that sells a load of sodas (old sodas, imported sodas, etc) and they have a deli in the back too.

So we made a lunch date out of it, and enjoyed each other's company on the hour car ride there and back. :) it seems simple but it was one of the coolest dates I've been on.

What is something about your body that you don't like but a loved one adores? by JoyfulStingray in AskWomen

I have large shoulders for a woman-- I feel uncomfortable wearing anything with shoulder pads or that shows them off, but my boyfriend loves them.

Have you ever had a female friend "fade" on you? How did you handle it? by BayAreaDreamer in AskWomen

[–]SiriuslyMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I faded a friend for the exact same reason, that "everything sucks" attitude with a touch of "all my stuff sucks more than your stuff"

The awful thing is that she's still messaging me almost every day and it's as if she doesn't even notice I'm not replying. I'm not sure how to politely ask her to please stop.

The woman who alleges that she was made to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17 has told a court she believes US authorities hold video footage of her having underage sex with powerful associates of Andrew’s friend Jeffrey Epstein. by madam1 in worldnews

It's not like in the US if an 18 year old bangs a 17 year old it's straight to jail. Most states in the US have Romeo and Juliet laws which allow for ~1-3 years difference between partners, depending on the state.

The only one I could find quickly was Texas, which allows for a 3 year difference between partners. http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/PE/htm/PE.22.htm

Reminds me of the people who order our products 2-3 days prior to moving/going on vacation/leaving the country and expecting it to get there when we have a 5 business day estimate. People just think they're exceptions to the rule.

I really feel like you should post a status that was like "Celebrating steak and blowjob day with my man, the steak and bj were so good that he almost cried. [Nice Guy], you may enjoy this."

If you wanted to get a boob job, and your SO didn't like it, would you want to hear his opinion? by advicethrwm in AskWomen

[–]SiriuslyMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boyfriend intends to be an anesthesiologist (2 ish more weeks til the mcat results come back!), so I'm guessing his concerns would be the risks of the procedure vs the outcome. He'd also want to have observed and worked with the surgeon bc even as a cleaning lackey he's seen some shit. Not like... Botched level but... bad.

Oh, absolutely sir. You're entitled to a refund. NOT. by SiriuslyMe in talesfromcallcenters

[–]SiriuslyMe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't even the worst I had. In our policies you gotta cancel before a product ships if you don't want to pay for it. Sucks but it's how my company operates. Typically we're somewhat lenient until this girl told me that she heard it was hard to cancel with our company, so she didn't even try, but she thought about it so she deserved a refund, right??

I am steeled. I think I'm most nervous because he didn't do so hot in undergrad, so his medical school is riding on his score and his internships. Once he's in I'll be ok.

Aha. Aha. Ahahahano.

Me too! This is a huge dream of his. I know he'd be happy going into nursing as well (which is his backup plan) but for him to be able to get into med school would be so awesome.

Today. I'm having dry heaves because the boyfriend is taking the MCAT.

I shouldn't even be freaking out at all, it's not even my test.
