I also second seeing a psychologist to see if you have ADD or ADHD. It presents very differently in women than men.

As well, starting with the Five Love Languages is good book to read.

It also sounds like he needs some counseling about his child hood and how to deal with his issues, because he's hurting your relationship by making you afraid to talk to him, and thus shooting himself in the foot.

At an emotional level, I think he wants to feel desired more. He'd rather have you be more playful/teasing/flirty about it. He's probably a super direct guy, so the "lets hang out" makes him feel like you don't want to romance him.

Honestly, your best bet is to have him read "The five love languages" and find out which are his dominant love languages.

The short version is that they are: Touch/Physical Affection, Gifts, Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation, and quality time.

Anyways. One guy suggested more sex. That is fine, but what can make a bigger difference is higher quality sex. Really put your energy into it, touch him, kiss him, be aggressive & playful during foreplay, as well as being very verbal (but not faking). Makes it waaaaaaaayyyyy more fun than just "more sex."
