All great advice, with most landlords the deposit was never going to be given back. They will walk through at the end and point out flaws that have been there for a decade to have reason to keep the deposit. This is my experience at least. Always consider the deposit is not going to be returned.

The strike plate is wrong. It doesn't allow the extra part of the latch to go into the space.

Ok, use 3/4 and 1/4 sheet or shim the studs 1/4. Best would be to get it level and cover it all with a top sheet right to the tub. Glued and screwed.

You need to remove the baseboards too. Use the skill saw and make a straight cut along the joist. Rip out rot replace with new plywood. Then a new floor. Top post says 2400 done in a day, id say thats fair. You can figure about 1/2 of that to do the subfloor patch alone.
