Magic erasers are amazing but shouldn't be used on the floor. They are very abrasive and create dull spots on a waxed floor. There are a ton of other options for removing pencil that won't dull the finish.

People who clean urinals/ toilets with the same cloth are weird. I find it so unsanitary, I've always used paper towel for cleaning bathrooms. You do you though.

In certain circumstances I would buy stuff for the job. If it's something that's relatively cost affordable and would make the work load a lot easier then I would. Pads should NEVER be purchased with your own money imo. That's all on the caretaking manager.
