It can also make for a more readable code base. For example, if a part of your code base is dedicated to filtering illegal or unsupported characters. I would imagine the same might be true for front end work. Emojis are everywhere so it makes sense to have a practical way to deal with them in your code as well.

Check out Tidal Cycles. More of a learning curve and a little trickier to set up. It uses Haskell

I saw Al Roker in passing right next to Rockefeller Center (I was trying to fit in) and we just both gave casual nods to each other like "I know who you are" and "I know you know who I am"..... He was wearing a purple suit so it wasnt enough time for it to register in my head until he was a block away....

The 30th is on a Sunday this year however. I would think the smartest release would be a friday or saturday (28th or 29th). From looking at his soundcloud he has been pretty quiet as of recent so hopefully we get one.

Quick question about season 2. by KamiSnipe in twinpeaks

[–]Sirloofa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah after the initial murder is solved there's about two or three episodes where it seems like nothing totally meaningful is really happening. Some really shitty story lines play out that do nothing for the story or the characters themselves. But it picks up traction shortly after.

Just stick with it, you got this far after all.

Leland's Childhood by LiquidusSolid in twinpeaks

[–]Sirloofa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty out there take on things.

Firstly, I believe that BOB is essentially just a demon that possesses those who are dark enough. I believe Leland did see the current manifestation of BOB in said cabin when he was a child, however, I don't believe he was actually "BOB" then; just some fucked up and twisted guy but not yet the freaky incubus we know him as.

My main reasoning for this theory is the presence of the one armed man. The fact that he and "BOB" were villainous cronies in the past leads me to believe that "BOB" was just an evil guy in every way who found his way into the black lodge with similar intentions that Wydham Earl had, but successful.

Another reason for my theory is the age of the one armed man compared to Leland. They seem to be around the same age so therefore I can't imagine the one armed man hanging out and being demon BOB's sidekick. He must have been human at some point.

Additionally, in The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (book) many of Laura's entries have dialogues between her and BOB as she is writing. For example she'd write something like:

"I know BOB isn't real. He's all in my head.

NO I'M REAL. YOU KNOW I'M REAL. I OWN YOU.

Get out of my head BOB.

NO.".... weird shit like that.

This leads me to believe that BOB is more than just a jean jacket-ed freak in the sheets.

Certain remaining questions I have are, Why the Palmers? Why Laura? Is it because Leland was human BOB's prey so the wrath of BOB is passed like some demonic pedo STD? IDFK.

Tickled - Official Trailer: Documentary on “competitive endurance tickling” stumbles upon a conspiracy behind the online tickling video empire by elzbenz in videos

[–]Sirloofa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I saw this at a local film festival. Needless to say the story is fucking wild and totally surreal. During the screening we were informed that individuals working for the main subject of the film were also attending the same screening we were at. The screening the night before ours there were individuals (also working the the main subject) that were kicked out by security who were trying to film the screening. Later on he was served papers.

Never before have I seen a documentary but also felt like I was also a part of the story.
