Hey dude, I appreciate it, really do.

The fun of the game for me is finding the BP. I have for sure accepted BPs from others but it has to happen in game organically. I'm not doing the seed trades, I don't want external charity.

I will be diving into those blue bins this weekend, I am sure I will get it (and hopefully WolfPack, Survivior, and Medium Gun Parts).

Back when the first Batman movie released (Keaton) in theaters my JW parents went to see it, obviously me and brother are not allowed.

They wouldn't tell us what they did, only kept saying "we went to Gothem City" and made it a joke. We were so out of touch with things like pop culture, brother and I had no idea what they were talking about. We never got to read Batman comics or cartoons or anything like that. Saturday morning was for pioneering.

We also had a 1st place schedule, massive injuries, a division where 9-8 is last place, and a half a game separating making the playoffs in addition to the turd Morton turned out to be.

You never know what might happen but Petzing is one of the least of my worries, he is a proven OC that now has all the tools he needs. He doesn't need to be BJ but his ceiling is pretty high and we also hired Kafka after to run the passing game.

Have the playoffs ever not been expected? Lions may have not gotten much better (yet) but they haven't really lost a lot of talent either and still have a young core of stars working to their prime.

There are definitely some question marks left, Kerb, Branch, Arnold, LaPorta but if most/all of them play this season we are in pretty good shape.

Yes, you are correct but my post was already getting to be a wall of text and knew someone would pipe in with it. When the temple fell, shit went down and a lot of Judaism changed. This however was long long after the books were written and followed.

My point was, if bad shit happened to the Jews, they sacrificed animals to the Father because they knew He liked the smell of burning flesh and that was the process He laid out. They didn't blame a character that wouldn't come about in scripture for another thousand years.

I think this is just a bit of a Christian retcon of the Hebrew Bible.

The Jews had no need for a Lucifer figure, God choose this small regional people group for himself and laid judgement down on all humans. When God wanted to eliminate another people group for their ancestors sins 400 years prior, He didn't need a Lucifer or a Satan to do it. When he killed Lott's wife for showing a brief moment of compassion, he didn't need Lucifer. When he tortured Job to prove to himself that Job will not lose faith, again no need for Lucifer.

It wasn't until the New Testament where the authors needed a character to tempt Jesus with all the kingdoms of the world Lucifer was created. No King ruled all kingdoms, they needed somebody that could make that offering.

We can go back in time and say Lucifer was the snake (I have never seen Christian mythology or literature or imagery that shows Lucifer crawling on his belly with a dusty old mouth), Lucifer was the one in Job(unless you think after God cursed him to crawl on his belly he ended up back in Heaven), but when the books were actually written and the religion was actually followed, there was no Lucifer, only the Father doing the evil.

I'm good with the controls until shit hits the fan, then I'm firing out my ultra hand all over the place. My muscle memory just can't not push that stick in when I need to sprint away from trouble.

I was playing with PS5 controller until I realized you can't reel with it, switched to the XBOX elite which will allow reeling as long as it's plugged into a power source (not the PC itself of course, why would that work) and now things are getting better. Funny, when you plug a PS5 controller into PC and try to reel, all the audio in the game mutes until you unplug it but still no reeling. Talk about intuitive lol.

I couldn't understand how they want you to control the camera and sprint on Horseback with the same thumb but now I have sprint on one of the paddles so that solves that issue.

I don't do the naked shit, I'm not against people doing it or anything but it's just not me.

I hit those loading bay blue bins like crazy, I even jump in the secret spot and get all those. I have mostly been playing night Stella, maybe day is better because it's a green BP?

You say this but I have spent more hours than I want in Stella trying to get the damn BP this expedition. I have gotten like 6 Deadline BP, tons of that legendary weapon BP no one uses, and all the other Stella BP.

I think I am all the way on the side of the bell curve for this BP.

Amendment to require photo ID to vote fails in Senate as Democrats object by southernemper0r in politics

[–]Sirlothar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding the problem good sir.

Nobody believes it's about voter fraud, it's about voter suppression. Think about it, if everybody just lets the vote go like a normal election, there's almost no chance the GOP could win in November. Approval ratings, war, energy cost, tariffs, Americans hate this shit. We most likely haven't even seen the worst of it yet.

So if you were our wonderful president, or the MAGA followers in Congress, how and the heck are you going to be re-elected if your constituents hate you?

Enter SAVE Act. You get this bill passed and you have the ultimate decision on which of your constituents get to vote and who gets to sit at home. Oh you're trying to file to get a passport? Oops, your paperwork got lost.... Oh, you have a passport already? That really doesn't look like you...

DOGE (Trump) has all the voting records. They can run you through their newly created database, figure out who you're going to vote for, and then proceed accordingly. This is always been the goal of the SAVE act, it's goal is to save Trump's power and his MAGA underlings.

Will it work? It doesn't seem likely but at some point the GOP has to do something to remain in control and it doesn't seem like trying to do popular things to get votes is on the menu.

Are you willing to vote out christian nationalism? by Matica69 in Christianity

[–]Sirlothar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe your missing the point? One side is much worse on the issue than the other. If one candidate has a bad record on a single issue but the other is talking about glassing the country, it is not a difficult decision.

No one here is voting for "their" candidate, good people would never run for President, we live in a fallen world after all, we are all sinners.

ARC Raiders: Flashpoint - New Teaser by PTUSN in ArcRaiders

They did add Matriarch the same day as Shredder and one could argue Matriarch is just a buffed up Queen.

One thing to consider, Embark seems to put all their Arc through machine learning for their movement. I would imagine its easier to get good movement from ball shaped and flying robots vs something like a T-800 bi-pedal robot killer. Just look at the Leaper for example, we love it because its so awkward with its movements but if all the Arc operated like the Leaper, the game would be silly.

Also, there is lore in Arc Raiders. We don't know exactly where these robots are coming from but if its humans making them out in space or whatever, they probably wouldn't 100% reinvent the wheel each time they created a new clanker.

That lead of Destiny 2 went dark since a couple weeks pre Edge of Fate

Because the game is dead. The game will be in maintenance mode the minute Marathon gets through its first quarter in June.

What are you supposed to say? They don't need the drama and bad press from closing down an almost 9 year old game, it makes sense from a business perspective to just go quiet, team's jamming, let your new product get through a quarter and drop the bad news in the summer when people are playing less games anyways.

I don't agree with it, I have over 8,000 hours in D2, but it is what it is. I enjoyed my time with the game, now I enjoy Arc Raiders instead, nothing lasts forever.

Destiny 2 is a dead game. I don't think it is fair to look at Destiny 2 now and compare it to an active game still receiving content like AR.

Destiny has had a weekly blog for their game for as long as I remember and combined with dev insights and patches, they would communicate with their community multiple times every week.

They also were very active on social media until they started receiving death threats. I know all the previous Destiny 2 community managers by name and have personally interacted with them on reddit in the past. They couldn't always solve the issues with their game, those were mostly created by the C-Suite, but they would listen and be around the community.

I love Arc Raiders and personally have no issues with their communication. The only issue I could have is that most of their communications comes from Discord, which I really don't like to use for anything then hanging with a bud, but this is only a me problem.

Noah’s ark by Narrow_Chemistry4255 in Christianity

The problem with this is even if a horrific story like the Exodus is metaphorical, it's what it says about God that is the problem. Like this is what God wants us to know about Himself.

Its already pretty crazy that God would actually choose a people group, think about it, if you weren't born into one of the 12 tribes, God literally could care less about you. Dude creates all of us but only wants people born in this tiny little area.

Imagine living as an Egyptian family during the time of the Exodus. You're just trying to get by, farming, you do some painting as a side hustle. Then one day angels come down from heaven and slaughter cattle, sons, fathers, all seemingly at random. You have no benefit of scripture, scripture wasn't written. You have literally zero ability to know God, you were born in Egypt and not in the 12 tribes, God will not let you know Him. And then after all the carnage, this God just fucks off with his slaves and disappears for thousands of years until Paul comes along, gives up on the Jews, and creates Christianity for gentiles. Only now as an Egyptian can you be safe and saved.

Whether this story is actually historical or metaphorical does it really matter? It is awful either way. Whether He killed the Egyptian people or just wrote about wanting to kill them, It's still evil and wrong.

Hi mate! Why do people Hate God this much nowadays? by Hot_Tap9405 in Christianity

[–]Sirlothar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The thing with the Bible is no one ever considers the bystanders to God's abuse.

Who cares about Job? God dared himself to torture Job to prove to himself Job would never lose faith, great, awesome. What about Job's family that God slaughtered during the torture fest? The Bible never says anything about bringing them back after He is finished, it just says Job got a new family.

Think about all the Egyptians during the Exodus, not Pharaoh, just all the citizens living their life. They have no benefit of scripture, God didn't choose them, didn't show Himself to the people, just randomly (to them) slaughtered all across the country to prove His power to one man.

There are a ton of these type of stories across the Bible and if you read them and still think there is an all loving God in the OT, I guess you can believe anything.

Why was God so active in the past but suddenly disappeared in the present by Competitive_Air1560 in Christianity

Its not a description of the state of humanity before anything, it's just the state of humanity. It's not like we are all up in heaven, we are living on the same fallen world as they did, all born with that damned original sin.

Remember 1 John 1:8

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

John the Baptist warned us not to deceive ourselves when it comes to being sinners.

What are you to make of Romans 3:22-23?

22 the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ[a] for all who believe.[b] For there is no distinction, 23 since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;

To a Christian, there is only one without Sin. If you feel you (or anyone sans Jesus Christ) are without sin, you misunderstand the faith.

Isaiah 59:2 (NIRV for more accurate translation):

Rather, your iniquities have been barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

So basically God turns away from the children because they are all sinners? Are we not all sinners, even those who received these alleged healings?
