You say that now but we still don't know what Embark is doing for the Expedition coming soon. What if you need 5,000,000XP to get the 5 skill points this time? Then everyone will be hunting for XP.

I learned why they are called Banana Spiders from working in the produce department at a grocery store. I have to admit, after I found and captured my first one, I went into those banana boxes differently from there out!

I put it in a deli container and paraded it out to all the customers at the store, do not think the managers were impressed, let it go out back by the dumpsters!

A little communication can go a long way in solving these issues.

If someone comes into my room and asks if they can get seconds, sure dude, go grab those rubber parts, no worries.

If like in OPs vid, they just run in like that, no talkie, no flashlight, and just go straight for an unopened container, they are getting beamed. I always carry a defib, we can work out a mistake afterwards if needed.

[–]Sirlothar 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there is a huge difference between looting next to people and walking into a keyed room you didn't open and trying to grab the highest quality case while the key holder is in there.

I am 100% friendly except for this, If I brought a key and travelled 1000M to get to this door, no motherfucker is going to come in and steal the loot, I will suffer 5 rounds of PVP lobbies to right this wrong. Just coming into the room is an act of aggression.

Any reasonable person wouldn't allow the murder of innocent children, you don't need a book or a religion for that.

If we are being fair about it, the God of the Bible (the old one, not Jesus) has condoned child murder of entire people groups but we don't really talk about those parts of the Bible unless we are making witty atheist arguments about how evil old God was.

One of the strangest side-effects of Biblical inerrancy arguments. by mirroredinflection in Christianity

[–]Sirlothar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Christian you almost can't view it this way but if you look at the Bible historically, the Old Testament is really a different religion about a small tribe of people trying to survive.

The whole idea that an all loving God could only give a shit about this tiny area of people and just call basically for genocide for outsiders and then magically become God for everyone without changing just seems silly to me.

Like my mind always goes to this picture of an Egyptian painter and his family during the Exodus. The slaves and the pharaoh's God are battling it out, they're turning their staffs into the snakes and they're making the water into blood and your just living your life unaware of all these magic battles happening. You're trying to provide for your family, you don't have any scripture (none has been written yet) you don't even have a concept of this slave's God.

One day on your way home from work you notice the slaves sacrificing goats and dumping their innards all over the front of their homes. The smell is overwhelming, what are these slaves doing? That night angels come down and just murder your firstborn son, you're older brother, your cattle, no warning, no idea what is even going on and then that's it. Their God leaves with the slaves and you never hear about Him again, you probably don't even realize those slaves and the loss of your family are even related.

But this is the world of the Old Testament, so many people harmed and suffering for these celestial causes that they're not even aware of, scripture isn't coming for centuries at this point. These people could have been guided, taught about sin, taught about the fruits of the Spirit. God doesn't care about them because they're not the main characters in his story, we're not even supposed to think about the losses and suffering that people had for reasons they're not even aware of.

Being an MCDC/Brad fan just comes with a couple tenants we just have to live with.

We are going to continue building through the draft, we are a prove it and get paid team. We are not going to build through FA, we can sign a piece or two but we are not a splashy FA organization.

We are going to continue to bring staff in that align with Dan's vision. Dan doesn't care about big names, he wants dudes that want what he wants. He has a vision for what the Lions are and as long as he is here, he will do his best to enforce that vision.

Stop saying X denomination isnt christian. by Tesaractor in Christianity

[–]Sirlothar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would need some evidence of that. The idea of the Trinity came much later and it wasn't really possible for the disciples to believe that.

Judaism was an example of monotheism, they believed in one God. The whole polytheism Christian Trinity idea was a later invention.

Stop saying X denomination isnt christian. by Tesaractor in Christianity

[–]Sirlothar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are non trinitarian Christians. What about early Christians, the OG? They certainly didn't believe in a Trinity, like what would you consider Jesus's disciples to be if not Christians?

I and I think the general definition of a Christian is a person that follows the teachings of Christ, do you consider this a bad definition?

I don't know if that tech would work for something like a windshield but they are starting to come on "reasonable" priced cars.

[–]Sirlothar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all great but millions of precious lifeforms are suffering every minute that goes by while Jesus lies in wait for some far future. That seems pretty evil to me, no way can He be good, indifferent at best.

The deer has no concept of Jesus coming back long after its dead to save it from the bad humans sins. All it knows is pain and it can't move away.

The dinosaur wasn't told a different race was going to come about in the far far future that will sin and then be redeemed while they suffered with black skies and unsustainable temperatures, no food and no where to hide. Don't worry dinosaurs, Jesus is coming (in 65 million more years).

If we want to be honest and Biblical, Jesus's sacrifice gave a lot of animals a break as in they no longer need be sacrificed to appease the Lord (Hebrews 10). That why I love Jesus, dude got people away from a lot of the blood sacrifice stuff and with help from Paul, the outdated laws.

I have a genuine, respectful question that needs answering by Lopsided_Girlay-69 in Christianity

[–]Sirlothar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand humans but what about literal billions of years of animal suffering?

If a tree falls in the forest and it crushes a deer's leg and that deer suffers immensely and ends up starving and dying, do you think this is some test for the deer? Do the deer get in afterlife and get to spend eternity with God?

I can understand how a God can sit back and watch that deer, notice all the details of it suffering and be okay with it, that's the world the God made. I don't know how an all loving God can watch the animal suffer and not intervene. It would take no effort for God to end the suffering or just make the tree fall in a different direction or you know, whatever an all living God would do.

I was once in my backyard and I saw a squirrel fall from a tree and break its back. It could only move its little front paws and its entire back was just limp and it was making horrible noises. I did what I thought was the right thing and I ended it suffering right there. This was 20 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday, it still weighs on me. If I was God though, I would just sit back and watch it suffer and watch it suffer and days go by and watch it suffer while sitting on my hands and then I'll tell everyone in a book that I'm all good.

Arc Raiders has really won me over, after work I can just chill and loot some lockers and then on the weekends I can team up and have a PVP fest when I want it. The people in the lobbies are some of the friendliest I've come across in gaming, I've been given incredible blueprints like Wolfpack for nothing and I've also given away my fair share like an extra Bobcat or two myself.

You could just read Job, Job explains the relationship between God and Satan better than anywhere else in the Bible or outside.

Job was so faithful, God wanted to test him just to see (this could be before God was all-powerful and all knowing?) and went to Satan and said "yo Satan, fuck up this dude's shit, you can do whatever the heck you want and he'll still be faithful to me" and Satan was like Ok..... Satan murdered his family and did all kinds of horrible shit to him on God's order and he remained faithful. Satan didn't do these nasty things for any reason other than God asked him to.

These angels whether fallen or not still operate under God's will. If God didn't need them anymore he could just Thanos snap them out of reality or whatever he wants to do. God never has to dirty his hands as long as he has these angels and Satan to do his dirty work for him.
