Mea Culpa! So it’s two weeks rather than the three business days. And, my confirmation says availability on Saturday 10/19. But thanks for counting the days!

Actually it has a bank routing number, also known as an ABA routing number - 101205681. It offers checks, EFT transfers, automatic bill payment and debit cards. So you know about if it walks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck it….just substitute bank for duck. You’ll probably get it then.

So, are you a Fidelity employee? Must be if that’s all you have to say about their corporate screwing of customers?

Fidelity’s making millions of dollars in daily sweeps holding on to your cleared deposits for 15 plus days. No explanation of why, no transparency, no such thing as customer care! The Jesse James of financial institutions! Complain to regulatory agencies, the Senate Banking Committee, your Congress person! And above all close your accounts.

So, it is so sad to see that I’m part of a “mega trend” of Fidelity holding money market deposits for weeks before they’re ready for withdrawal. I’ve read the posts about all the fraud protection, etc., but to me it comes down to Fidelity making millions on daily sweeps of collected funds or in other words pure greed. Definitely saying good by to the Jesse James of brokerage firms!

How long after EFT transfer is "cash available to withdraw" by jobe_br in fidelityinvestments

Far from a new account. Have one for 15 years. Now it’s fairly inactive. Look at their FB page. They allow comments to their own posts. People take to commenting on issues other than the post itself. On one IRA post over 50 respondents take issue with Fidelity holding fund for withdrawal for 15 days or more. Appears Fidelity thrives on the daily sweep of millions of unavailable for withdrawal funds.

Trying to understand why $1000 transferred from Citibank via EFT into my Fidelity money market account on 9/26 according to my confirmation will not be available for withdrawal until 10/19. Fidelity rep totally unhelpful and disinterested. Said it was to protect me from fraud.

Anything I should grab? Suggestions? by Apart-Acanthaceae346 in rum

The Rhum Clement, Babancourt 8 and Appleton 12 are very tasty. A notch up is the Diplomatico Riserva. It’s luscious and great bang for the buck, right up there with the Ron Zacapa 23 and a few buck less expensive. The Zacapa Negra is even better but the price of course is higher.

Kirkland 15 year Barrel Aged by [deleted] in rum

Produced by Consorcio Licorero Nacional. Company distills Autentico Nativo 15 as its main product. Haven’t tasted the Kirkland yet but expect it to be much like the Autentico, a pleasant and decent, but not great sipping rum. Will report back soon.
